The Nissan Altima, like other sedans, has two fuse boxes.
- Engine Compartment
- Interior Fuse Box
The engine compartment fuse box is located near the battery. You can enter the fuse box in the engine bay by pushing on the tabs and lifting the lid to reveal the fuses. Here you will find all the fuses related to the exterior of the car, including the lights, the horn, the wipers, and more.
To open the engine compartment fuse box, make sure the car ignition is switched off and open the engine hood. Then you can remove the fuse box cover by pushing the tab in and lifting the cover up.
Removing fuses is pretty tricky with just your fingers, it’ll be much easier if you have a needle-nose pliers or a fuse-puller tool. There is a fuse-puller tool located in the center of the fuse block for your convenience.
The interior fuse box is located under the driver’s instrument panel. A small lid covers the fuse box, which you can gently pull to open.
