CLEARING THE PROGRAMMED INFORMATION Individual buttons cannot be cleared. However, to clear all programming, press and hold the two outside buttons and release when the indicator light begins to flash (approximately 20 seconds). REPROGRAMMING A SINGLE HOMELINKT BUTTON To reprogram a HomeLinkT Universal Transceiver button, complete the following. 1. Press and hold the desired HomeLinkT but- ton. Do not release the button until step 4
has been completed.

2. When the indicator light begins to flash slowly (after 20 seconds), position the hand-held transmitter 1 - 3 inches (26 - 76
mm) away from the HomeLinkT surface.

3. Press and hold the hand-held transmitter

button.

4. The HomeLinkT indicator light will flash, first slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light begins to flash rapidly, release both buttons.

The HomeLinkT Universal Transceiver button has now been reprogrammed. The new device can be activated by pushing the HomeLinkT button

that was just programmed. This procedure will not affect any other programmed HomeLinkT buttons. IF YOUR VEHICLE IS STOLEN If your vehicle is stolen, you should change the codes of any non-rolling code device that has been programmed into HomeLinkT. Consult the Owner(cid:146)s Manual of each device or call the manu- facturer or dealer of those devices for additional information. 2. 3. 4. A key number plate is supplied with your keys. Record the key number and keep it in a safe place (such as your wallet), not in the vehicle. If you lose your keys, see a NISSAN dealer for duplicates by using the key number. NISSAN does not record key numbers so it is very important to keep track of your key number plate.

cause the registration process will erase the memory of all key codes previously registered into the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System. After the registration process, these components will only recognize keys coded into the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System during registration. Any key that is not given to your dealer at the time of registration will no longer be able to start your vehicle. Do not allow the immobilizer system key, which contains an electrical transponder, to come into contact with salt water. This could affect system function.

A key number is only necessary when you have lost all keys and do not have one to duplicate from. If you still have a key, your NISSAN dealer can duplicate it. NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM KEYS You can only drive your vehicle using the master or valet keys which are registered to the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System components in your vehicle. These keys have a transponder chip in the key head.

The master key can be used for all the locks.

The valet key cannot be used for the glove box lock.

To protect belongings when you leave a key with someone, give them the valet key only. Never leave these keys in the vehicle. Additional or replacement keys: If you still have a key, the key number is not necessary when you need extra NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System keys. Your dealer can dupli- cate your existing key. As many as five NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System keys can be used with one vehicle. You should bring all NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System keys that you have to your NISSAN dealer for registration. WARNING

c Always have the doors locked while driving. Along with the use of seat belts, this provides greater safety in the event of an accident by helping to prevent persons from being thrown from the vehicle. This also helps keep children and others from unintentionally open- ing the doors, and will help keep out intruders.

c Before opening any door, always look

for and avoid oncoming traffic.

c Do not leave children unattended inside the vehicle. They could unknowingly ac- tivate switches or controls. Unattended children could become involved in seri- ous accidents.

c Always be sure that hands and feet are clear of the door frame to avoid injury while closing a sliding door.

CAUTION

c Always use the door handle to open or close a sliding door. Do not attempt to open or close the doors by merely plac- ing your hand on the door edge or door slide roller, as this may cause injury.

c When opening a sliding door on a slope, ensure that it is fully open and that it does not close by itself.

LOCKING WITH KEY The power door lock system allows you to lock or unlock all doors at the same time. Turning the key toward the front s1 of the vehicle locks all doors. Turning the key one time toward the rear s2 of the vehicle unlocks that door. From that position, returning the key to neutral s3 (where the key can only be removed and inserted) and turning it toward the rear again within 5 seconds unlocks all doors s4 .

Opening and closing windows The driver(cid:146)s door key operation allows you to open and close windows equipped with auto- matic operation at the same time. c To open the windows, turn the driver(cid:146)s door key toward the rear of the vehicle for longer than 1 second after the door is unlocked. c To close the windows, turn the driver(cid:146)s door key to the front of the vehicle for longer than 1 second after the door is locked.

Windows stop when the key cylinder is released.

Lockout protection When the power door lock switch (driver(cid:146)s or front passenger(cid:146)s side) is moved to the lock position with the key in the ignition and any door open, all doors will lock and unlock automatically. This helps to prevent the keys from being acci- dently locked inside the vehicle.

LOCKING WITH POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH To lock all the doors without a key, push the door lock switch (driver(cid:146)s or front passenger(cid:146)s side), to the lock position s1 . When locking the door this way, be certain not to leave the key inside the vehicle.

To unlock all the doors without a key, push the door lock switch (driver(cid:146)s or front passenger(cid:146)s side) to the unlock position s2 .

OPERATING THE MANUAL SLIDING DOOR (if so equipped) The manual sliding door can be opened from the inside or the outside. To open a sliding door from the inside, push the button s1 and pull the handle toward the rear of the vehicle. To open a sliding door from the outside, pull out the outside handle. The driver side sliding door cannot be opened fully when the fuel-filler door is open.

When the switch is in the OFF position, the sliding door can still be opened with the keyfob or overhead console switch. The sliding door can also be opened manually with the inside or out- side handle.

NOTE: If the child safety lock is in the lock posi- tion, the door pillar switch will not operate the sliding door regardless of the main ON/OFF switch position.

NOTE:

To open, close or reverse a power sliding door, the ignition switch must be OFF, or, if the ignition switch is ON, the shift selector lever must be in P (Park). Also, the power sliding doors will not operate if battery voltage is low.

Power Assist: If the main on/off switch is ON and a sliding door is unlocked and manually moved toward the open

or close position using the inside or outside handle, the power assist feature will be activated and the door will complete its motion automati- cally. Power Open: The door automatically moves from the fully closed position to the fully open position in ap- proximately 3 (cid:150) 6 seconds. The power open feature can be activated by the switches on the keyfob, the overhead console and the door pillar. c A sliding door can be opened by the over- head console switch and the keyfob even if the vehicle is locked. The door will individu-

ally unlock and open. When the sliding door is closed, it will remain unlocked. The vehicle must be re-locked to lock the door.

c The keyfob button must be held for 0.5 sec-

ond before the door opens.

c The switch on the door pillar can only be used to open the door if the main ON/OFF switch is ON, the door is unlocked and the child lockout switch is not set.

A warning chime will sound if the shift selector lever is moved out of P (Park) during a power open operation. The driver(cid:146)s side power sliding door cannot be power opened when the fuel lid door is open. A warning chime will sound if an open operation is attempted. The door can be opened manually part way. Power Close: The door automatically moves from the fully open position to the secondary position. When the sliding door reaches the secondary position, the cinching motor engages and pulls the door to its primary latch position. Power close takes ap- proximately 4 (cid:150) 7 seconds. The power close feature can be activated by the switches on the keyfob, the overhead console and the door pillar. c If the inside or outside handle is activated while the cinching motor is engaged, the

cinching motor will disengage and release the latch.

c The keyfob button must be held for 0.5 sec-

ond before the door closes.

c The switch on the door pillar can only be used to close the door if the main ON/OFF switch is ON.

Reverse: The door will reverse direction immediately dur- ing power open or power close if the keyfob, overhead console or door pillar switch is pressed. A chime will sound to announce the reversal. Auto Reverse: If an obstacle is detected during power open or power close, a warning chime will sound and the door will reverse direction and return to the full open or full close position. If a second obstacle is detected, the door motion will stop and the clutch mode will be engaged.

WARNING

There are some small distances immedi- ately before the closed position which cannot be detected. Make sure that all passengers have their hands, etc., inside the vehicle before closing the door.

The power sliding door should now work prop- erly.

NOTE: The restarting procedure must be com- pleted for both the left-hand and right- hand power sliding doors (if so equipped).

Clutch Mode: To help prevent unexpected slams due to gravity, the clutch mode is engaged intermittently for approximately 5 (cid:150) 8 seconds when power open or close is interrupted due to multiple obstacles, low battery voltage or the main ON/OFF switch turned to OFF. The door must then be opened or closed manually.

Restarting the power sliding door Some power sliding door functions will become disabled after the battery terminal is discon- nected and/or the electrical supply is interrupted.

The following procedure must be used to restart each power sliding door so that all functions are enabled.

1. Turn the main on/off switch to OFF.

2. Manually open the power sliding door to its

fully open position.

3. Turn the main on/off switch to ON.

4. Press and hold the power sliding door switch on the overhead console until the door closes.

5. Release the switch.

6. Press and hold the power sliding door switch on the overhead console until the door opens as far as it can.

7. Release the switch.

8. Press and hold the power sliding door switch on the overhead console until the door closes.

9. Release the switch.

REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM

It is possible to lock/unlock all doors, turn on the interior lights and puddle lamps (if so equipped), and activate the panic alarm by using the keyfob from outside the vehicle.

Some settings for the keyfob, such as horn beep, can be adjusted. For vehicles with monochrome screen, refer to (cid:147)Silencing the horn beep feature(cid:148) later in this section. For vehicles with color screen, refer to (cid:147)Vehicle electronic systems(cid:148) in the (cid:147)Display screen, heater, air conditioner, audio and phone systems(cid:148) section later in this manual. Be sure to remove the key from the vehicle before locking the doors. The keyfob can operate at a distance of approxi- mately 33 ft (10 m) from the vehicle. The effective distance depends upon the conditions around the vehicle. As many as 5 keyfobs can be used with one vehicle. For information concerning the purchase and use of additional keyfobs, contact a NISSAN dealer. The keyfob will not function when: c the battery is discharged c the distance between the vehicle and the

keyfob is over 33 ft (10 m)

CHILD SAFETY SLIDING DOOR LOCK The child safety lock helps prevent the sliding door from being opened accidentally, especially when small children are in the vehicle.

The child safety lock levers are located on the edge of the sliding doors. When the lever is in the lock position, the door can be opened only from the outside, by the overhead console switch or using the keyfob.

CAUTION

Listed below are conditions or occur- rences which will damage the keyfob: c Do not allow the keyfob to become wet. c Do not drop the keyfob. c Do not strike the keyfob sharply against

another object.

c Do not place the keyfob for an extended period in an area where temperatures exceed 140(cid:176)F (60(cid:176)C).

If a keyfob is lost or stolen, NISSAN rec- ommends erasing the ID code of that key- fob. This will prevent the keyfob from un- authorized use to unlock the vehicle. For information regarding the erasing proce- dure, please contact a NISSAN dealer.

button is pushed with all doors locked, the hazard warning lights flash twice and the horn beeps once as a re- minder that the doors are already locked.

c If a door is open and you push the

button, the doors will lock but the horn will not beep and the hazard warning lights will not flash.

The horn may or may not beep. For vehicles with monochrome screen, refer to (cid:147)Silencing the horn beep feature(cid:148) later in this section. For vehicles with color screen, refer to (cid:147)Vehicle electronic systems(cid:148) in the (cid:147)Display screen, heater, air con- ditioner, audio and phone systems(cid:148) section later in this manual.

NOTE: If you use the keyfob to change the horn beep and lamp flash feature for vehicles with color screen, the display will not show the current mode and cannot be used to change the mode. Use the keyfob to return to the previous mode and re-enable the display screen control. Refer to (cid:147)Vehicle electronic systems(cid:148) in the (cid:147)Display screen, heater, air conditioner, audio and phone systems(cid:148) section for additional informa- tion.

Using the panic alarm If you are near your vehicle and feel threatened, you may activate the panic alarm to call attention by pushing and holding the button on the keyfob for longer than 0.5 second. The panic alarm and headlights will stay on for 25
seconds. The panic alarm stops when: c it has run for 25 seconds, or c any button is pushed on the keyfob.

HOOD

LIFT GATE

WARNING

c Always be sure the lift gate has been closed securely to prevent it from open- ing while driving.

c Do not drive with the lift gate open. This could allow dangerous exhaust gases to be drawn into the vehicle. See (cid:147)Ex- haust gas(cid:148) in the (cid:147)Starting and driving(cid:148) section of this manual.

c Do not leave children unattended inside the vehicle. They could unknowingly ac- tivate switches or controls. Unattended children could become involved in seri- ous accidents.

c Always be sure that hands and feet are clear of the door frame to avoid injury while closing the lift gate.

s1 Pull the hood lock release handle located below the driver(cid:146)s side instrument panel. The hood will spring up slightly.

s2 Push the lever at the front of the hood to the side as illustrated with your fingertips and raise the hood.

Insert the support rod into the slot on the underside of the hood.

When closing the hood, lower it slowly and make sure it locks into place.

c Make sure the hood is completely closed and latched before driving. Fail- ure to do so could cause the hood to fly open and result in an accident.

c If you see steam or smoke coming from the engine compartment, to avoid injury do not open the hood.

A warning chime will sound if the shift selector lever is moved out of P (Park) during a power open operation. Power Close: The power lift gate automatically moves from the fully open position to the secondary position. When the lift gate reaches the secondary posi- tion, the cinching motor engages and pulls the lift gate to its primary latch position. Power close takes approximately 7 (cid:150) 10 seconds. The power close feature can be activated by the switch on the keyfob, the overhead console and the rear pillar. The hazard lights flash and a chime sounds to indicate the power close sequence has been started. c If the outside opener handle is activated while the cinching motor is engaged, the cinching motor will disengage and release the latch.

c The keyfob button must be held for 0.5 sec-

The hazard lights flash and a chime sounds to indicate the power open sequence has been started. c The lift gate can be opened by the overhead console switch and the keyfob even if the vehicle is locked. The lift gate will individually unlock and open. Once the lift gate is closed, its lock will align to the vehicle(cid:146)s lock or unlock status.

WARNING

There are some small distances immedi- ately before the closed position which cannot be detected. Make sure that all passengers have their hands, etc., inside the vehicle before closing the lift gate.

Manual Mode: If power operation is not available, the lift gate may be operated manually. Power operation may not be available if the main ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position, if multiple obstacles have been detected in a single power cycle, or if battery voltage is low.

Reverse: The power lift gate will reverse direction immedi- ately during power open or power close if the keyfob, overhead console or rear pillar switch is pressed. A chime will sound to announce the reversal. Auto Reverse: If an obstacle is detected during power open or power close, a warning chime will sound and the lift gate will reverse direction and return to the full open or full close position. If a second obstacle is detected, the lift gate motion will stop and the drive motor will disengage. The lift gate will enter manual mode. A pinch strip is mounted on each side of the lift gate. If an obstacle is detected by a pinch strip during power close, the lift gate will reverse di- rection and return to the full open position.

NOTE: If the pinch strip is damaged or removed, the power close function will not operate.

Safe Mode: If the lift gate gas stays s1 lose pressure, the power lift gate safe mode is activated. When the safe mode is activated, the lift gate slowly closes. A continuous warning chime sounds until the lift gate is in the fully down position. Then the lift gate will be pulled to the closed and latched position by a motor. The power lift gate cannot be opened using the switches at any time in the safe mode. The auto reverse function remains active while the lift gate is closing in the safe mode. Do not operate the lift gate again until checked by your NISSAN dealer.

FUEL-FILLER CAP The fuel-filler cap is a ratcheting type. Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove. To tighten, turn the cap clockwise until ratcheting clicks are heard. Put the fuel-filler cap on the cap holder s1 while refueling.

WARNING

c Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive under certain condi- tions. You could be burned or seriously injured if it is misused or mishandled. Always stop the engine and do not smoke or allow open flames or sparks near the vehicle when refueling.

c Fuel may be under pressure. Turn the cap a third of a turn, and wait for any (cid:147)hissing(cid:148) sound to stop to prevent fuel from spraying out and possibly causing personal injury. Then remove the cap.

c Do not attempt to top off the fuel tank after the fuel pump nozzle shuts off automatically. Continued refueling may cause fuel overflow, resulting in fuel spray and possibly a fire.

c Use only an original equipment type fuel-filler cap as a replacement. It has a built-in safety valve needed for proper operation of the fuel system and emis- sion control system. An incorrect cap can result in a serious malfunction and possible injury. It could also cause the malfunction indicator light to come on. c Never pour fuel into the throttle body to

attempt to start your vehicle.

Objects viewed in the outside mirror on the passenger side are closer than they appear. Be careful when moving to the right. Using only this mirror could cause an accident. Use the inside mirror or glance over your shoulder to properly judge distances to other objects.

The outside mirror remote control only operates when the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position.

Heated mirrors (if so equipped) Some outside mirrors can be heated to defrost, defog, or de-ice for improved visibility. For addi- tional information, see (cid:147)Rear window and outside mirror (if so equipped) defroster switch(cid:148) in the (cid:147)Instrument and controls(cid:148) section of this manual.

Rotate the control lever to select the right or left mirror. Adjust the mirror to the desired position by moving the control lever. Automatic anti-glare outside mirrors (if so equipped) The outside mirrors will automatically dim during nighttime conditions to reduce the glare from the headlights of trailing vehicles. The automatic anti- glare feature operates only when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

The automatic anti-glare feature will be on when starting the vehicle. The indicator light on the automatic anti-glare rearview mirror will illuminate when the automatic anti-glare feature is on.

To turn off the automatic anti-glare feature, press the O button on the rearview mirror.

The indicator light will turn off.

To turn on the automatic anti-glare feature again, press the

button on the rearview mirror

The indicator light will turn on.

AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSITIONER (if so equipped)

The automatic drive positioner system has two features: c Memory storage function c Entry/exit function

Move the shift selector lever to R (Reverse). The selected mirror will turn downward. The selected mirror surface will return to its origi- nal position when any of the following have oc- curred: c The shift selector lever is moved to any po-

sition other than R (Reverse).

c The outside mirror control switch is set to the

neutral position.

c The ignition switch is turned OFF.

NOTE: If the outside mirror control switch is in the neutral position, neither mirror will turn downward when the shift selector lever is moved to R (Reverse). For more information regarding this feature and how to save the R (Reverse) mirror tilt-down adjustment in the automatic drive positioner memory, refer to (cid:147)Automatic drive positioner(cid:148) later in this section.

Foldable outside mirrors Push the mirrors backward to fold them. Reverse tilt-down feature (if so equipped) The reverse tilt-down feature will turn the se- lected outside mirror surface downward to pro- vide better rear visibility close to the vehicle.

When the ignition switch is in the ON position, turn the outside mirror control switch to the left or right position. Only one mirror can be selected at a time.

the driver(cid:146)s seat, accelerator and brake pedals, and outside mirrors to the desired positions by manually operating each adjusting switch. For additional infor- mation, see (cid:147)Seats(cid:148) in the (cid:147)Safety(cid:151)Seats, seat belts and supplemental restraint sys- tem(cid:148) section and (cid:147)Pedal position adjust- ment(cid:148) and (cid:147)Outside mirrors(cid:148) earlier in this section.

During this step, do not turn the ignition to any position other than ON.

4. Push the SET switch and, within 5 seconds, push the memory switch (1 or 2) fully for at least 1 second.

The indicator light for the pushed memory switch will come on and stay on for approxi- mately 5 seconds after pushing the switch. After the indicator light goes off, the se- lected positions are stored in the selected memory (1 or 2).

If a new memory is stored in the same memory switch, the previous memory will be deleted. Linking a keyfob to a stored memory position Each keyfob can be linked to a stored memory position (memory switch 1 or 2) with the follow- ing procedure.

1. Follow the steps for storing a memory posi-

tion.

1. Set the automatic transmission selector le-

ver to the P (Park) position.

2. Turn the ignition ON.

3. Push the memory switch 1 or 2 fully for at least 1 second to operate the automatic drive positioner.

4. Turn the outside mirror control switch to L

(left).

5. Depress the brake pedal. 6. Move the automatic transmission shift lever

to R (Reverse).

7. Adjust the mirror to the desired viewing po- sition for backing up by operating the out- side mirror control switch.

8. Push the SET switch and, within 5 seconds, push the memory switch 1 or 2 selected in step 3 fully for at least 1 second.

c The indicator light for the pushed memory switch will come on and stay on for approxi- mately 5 seconds after pushing the switch. After the indicator light goes off, the se- lected mirror position is stored in the se- lected memory (1 or 2).

9. Turn the outside mirror control switch to R (right). Repeat the above procedure to ad- just the right mirror position and store in the selected memory.

c When the driver(cid:146)s seat, accelerator and brake pedals, and outside mirrors are not in the memorized position, the outside mirror will move with the initial tilt-down angle.

Confirming memory storage c Turn the ignition ON and push the SET switch. If the main memory has not been stored, the indicator light will come on for approximately 0.5 seconds. When the memory has stored the position, the indica- tor light will stay on for approximately 5 sec- onds.

c If the battery cable is disconnected, or if the fuse opens, the memory storage function will be canceled and must be restarted before a stored memory position can be set again. Drive the vehicle over 25 MPH (40 km/h) to restart the memory storage function. You can also restart the memory storage function using the following procedure.

1. Connect the battery cable or replace the

fuse.

2. Open and close the driver(cid:146)s door more than two times with the ignition key in the LOCK position.

Once the memory storage function has been restarted, you can store a memory position. See (cid:147)Memory storage function(cid:148) earlier in this section.

Selecting the memorized position Set the automatic transmission selector lever to the P (Park) position, then: c Within 45 seconds of opening the driver(cid:146)s door, push the memory switch (1 or 2) fully for at least 1 second, or

c Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and push the memory switch (1 or 2) fully for at least 1 second.

The driver(cid:146)s seat, accelerator and brake pedals, and outside mirrors will move to the memorized position with the indicator light blinking, and then the light will stay on for approximately 5 seconds. ENTRY/EXIT FUNCTION This system is designed so that the driver(cid:146)s seat will automatically move when the automatic transmission selector lever is in the P (Park) position. This allows the driver to get into and out of the driver(cid:146)s seat more easily.

The driver(cid:146)s seat will slide backward: c When the key is removed from the ignition

switch and the driver(cid:146)s door is opened.

c When the driver(cid:146)s door is opened with the

key turned to LOCK.

Restarting the entry/exit function If the battery cable is disconnected or if the fuse opens, the entry/exit function will be disabled. Drive the vehicle over 25 MPH (40 km/h) to restart the entry/exit function. You can also restart the entry/exit function using the following proce- dure. 1. Connect the battery cable or replace the

fuse.

2. Open and close the driver(cid:146)s door more than two times with the ignition key in the LOCK position.

The entry/exit function should now work properly. SYSTEM OPERATION The automatic drive positioner system will not work or will stop operating under the following conditions: c When the vehicle speed is above 4 MPH (7

km/h).

c When any of

the memory switches are pushed while the automatic drive positioner is operating.

c When the adjusting switch for the driver(cid:146)s seat is turned on while the automatic drive positioner is operating.

c When the memory switch (1 or 2) is not

pushed and held for at least 1 second.

c When the seat has been already moved to

the memorized position.

c When no seat position is stored in the

memory switch.

c When the automatic transmission selector lever is moved from P (Park) to any other position.

c When the driver(cid:146)s door remains open more than 45 seconds and the ignition switch is not in the ON position.

Distance to empty (MI or km) The Distance To Empty (DTE) mode provides you with an estimation of the distance that can be driven before refueling. The DTE is constantly calculated based on the amount of fuel in the fuel tank and the actual fuel consumption. The display is updated every 30 seconds. When the fuel level is low, the DTE display will change to (*).

NOTE: c If the amount of fuel added while the ignition switch is OFF is small, the display just before the ignition switch is turned OFF may con- tinue to be displayed.

Average speed (MPH or km/h) The Average Speed mode shows the average speed since the last reset. To calculate the aver- age speed, driving distance is divided by driving time. For approximately the first 30 seconds after a reset or reconnecting the battery cables, the display will show (*). Resetting average speed The average speed calculation can be reset to 0. Press the TRIP button for more than approxi- mately 2 seconds.

Fuel economy (MPG or L/100 km) The Fuel Economy mode shows the average fuel economy since the last reset. For approximately the first 30 seconds and 1/3
mile (500 m) after a reset or connecting the battery cables, the display will show (*). Resetting fuel economy The fuel economy calculation can be reset to 0. Press the TRIP button for more than approxi- mately 2 seconds.

Tire pressure information Pressure indication in **psi on the screen indi- cates that the pressure is being measured. After a few driving trips, the pressure for each tire will be displayed randomly.

The order of the tire pressure figures displayed on the screen does not correspond with the actual order of the tire position.

Tire pressure rises and falls depending on the heat caused by the vehicle(cid:146)s operation and the outside temperature.

In case of low tire pressure, a message (cid:147)LOW PRESSURE(cid:148) or (cid:147)CHECK ALL TIRES(cid:148) is dis- played on the screen:

WARNING

c When a spare tire is mounted or a wheel is replaced, tire pressure will not be indicated, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will not function and the low tire pressure warning light will flash. Contact your NISSAN dealer as soon as possible for tire replacement and/or system resetting.

c Replacing tires with those not originally specified by NISSAN could affect the proper operation of the TPMS.

HOW TO USE THE SETTING BUTTON Pressing the SETTING button will change the settings menu as follows: Backlight ! Day Mode Brightness ! Night Mode Brightness ! Clock Adjust HOURS ! Clock Adjust MINUTES ! Units ! Lang ! MP3

Backlight To turn off the screen, select (cid:147)OFF(cid:148) of the Back- light mode by pressing the TUNE button.

The message (cid:147)Press SETTINGS to resume(cid:148) will display for approximately 5 seconds then the screen will turn off.

To turn on the screen, press the SETTING button and select (cid:147)ON(cid:148) by pressing the TUNE button.

When any button besides SETTING is pressed with the screen off, the screen turns on for further operation. The screen will turn off automatically after the operation is finished. Day mode brightness The brightness of the screen during the day can be changed by pressing the TUNE button.

Clock operation The digital clock displays time when the ignition key is in ACC or ON. If the power supply is disconnected, the clock will not indicate the correct time. Readjust the time.

Clock adjust hours

Press the SETTING button until Clock Adjust HOURS is shown in the display. Press the TUNE button up or down to adjust the hour. Clock adjust minutes

Press the SETTING button again Clock Adjust Minutes is shown in the display. Press the TUNE button up or down to adjust the minutes.

To exit the clock adjustment, press the SETTING button repeatedly. The screen will return to the audio display if the audio is on. If the audio is not on, the screen will return to a blank display. longer than 2.5 seconds.

Beeping will occur during the door warning; to disable the beeping press any button. If a change in any door condition occurs during the time the beep is cancelled, a warning will return.
