CAUTION

To prevent the windshield from fog- ging up, do not use the windshield air flow button during cool air opera- tion in extremely humid weather. The difference between the temperature of the outside air and that of the wind- shield can cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, blocking your vision.

NOTICE

To prevent battery discharge, do not leave the air conditioning system on longer than necessary when the en- gine is stopped.

In the automatic operation mode, the air conditioning selects the most suitable fan speed, air flow, air intake and on−off of the air conditioning according to the tem- perature. “A/C” button To turn on the air conditioning, press the “A/C” button. The “A/C” button indicator will come on. To turn the air conditioning off, press the button again. Micro dust and pollen filter button Push the button to remove the airborne pollen and micro dust from the cabin as soon as possible. An indicator will come on. The air to RECIRCULATE mode. The air will flow to the upper part of the occupants and pollen and micro dust will be removed. After about 3 minutes have elapsed, the operation stops, and the air conditioning system automatically returns to the settings prior to the button being pushed. D If following another vehicle on a dusty road, or driving in windy and dusty conditions, it is recommended that the air intake selector be temporarily set to RECIRCULATE, which will close off the outside passage and prevent outside air and dust from entering the vehicle interior.

CAUTION

To prevent the windshield from fog- ging up, do not use the windshield air flow button during cool air opera- tion in extremely humid weather. The difference between the temperature of the outside air and that of the wind- shield can cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, blocking your vision.

NOTICE

To prevent battery discharge, do not leave the air conditioning system on longer than necessary when the en- gine is stopped.

information The air conditioning filter label in the glove box as shown and indicates that a filter has been installed. The air conditioning filter prevents dust from entering the vehicle through the air conditioning vent.

The air conditioning filter is behind the glove box.

—Checking and replacing the air conditioning filter The air conditioning filter may clog af- ter long use. The filter may need to be replaced if the air flow of the air condi- tioning and heater experiences extreme reductions in operating efficiency, or if the windows begin to fog up easily in FRESH mode. To maintain the air conditioning efficiency, inspect and replace the air conditioning filter according to the maintenance sched- ule. In dusty areas or areas with heavy traffic flow, such as inner city or desert areas, early replacement may be required. (For scheduled maintenance information, please refer the “Scheduled Mainte- nance Guide” or “Owner’s Manual Supple- ment”.)

If it is dirty, it should be replaced.

The air filter should be installed prop- erly in position. The use of air condi- tioning with filter removed may cause deteriorated dustproof per- formance and then affect air condi- tioning performance.
