Hello all,

My name is Steve, Im from Rockhampton in Central Queensland. I recently purchased a highly modified MY99 WRX in WRC Blue. Some of you may have seen the car before on this forum. Hope to get a lot out of the car and will spend some time cleaning it up and bringing it back to showroom condition.

Mod list:

Engine Mods:

Forged 2.5L closed deck bottom end
Wiseco pistons
Argo rods
ARP head studs
ACL bearings
Parallel fuel rail setup
650cc injectors
Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator
Bosch 040 External fuel pump

Braided fuel lines
1999 Version 5 STI Heads

APS Front mount intercooler with silicon piping
APS Cold Air intake with K+N Air Filter inside front guard

Short throw shifter
Driver Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD)
Exedy heavy duty clutch
LSD's Front and rear (R180 mechanical rear with CUSCO 2 Way LSD centre)
2 piston rear brake callipers
4 piston front brake callipers
Front DBA slotted rotors

Suspension Mods:

Braided Brake lines
Cusco Coilovers,
Whiteline swaybars
Whiteline anti lift kit
Agency Power front sway bar links
STI front carbon strut brace

Interior Mods:

STI instrument cluster 10,000rpm and 280km/h and DCCD gauge
Autometer Boost and Water temp gauges on A Pillar
STI Alloy pedals
Alpine iPod MP3 player with iPod dock in dash
Pioneer 6 inch splits front and rear

Exterior Mods:

STI pink grill badge
STI Aluminium bonnet
STI Clear/Red Taillights
STI Wing
MY05 Club Spec Rims
Black headlights with Angle Eyes
Clear front indicators
Clear side indicators
Bonnet lock pins

I've been busy the last couple of days, installed a bov to stop compressor surge, fixed my dccd which wasn't working (car drives better through corners now), and fixed the water temp gauge which wasnt working. I also found a full nokia hands free kit under the dash so I pulled that out along with a few meters of old amp/speaker wires. I am quite suprised how easy these cars are to work on, a lot easier than the previous car.

As for the engine bay, god knows... There have been a couple of things like that I have found and was just like WTF?? Most of that flat black is where the washer bottle now sits so you dont see it

Looking at 225kw at the wheels on 10psi, apparently has been tuned at 20psi once in its life and made 280kw at the wheels (apparently).

Closed 2.5 would help for sure. It would be capable with a good tuner.

    Nice Rex mate!
