yeah stick with the stock exhaust mate, they sound terrible if you try to change them. if not you've found something no one else has.

unless it looks really tough i wouldnt, the only good sounding diesel's are patrols. but if you do, i think that 3in would be a bit big, ask your exhaust shop

hey mate, i have a bt50 2.5l with a 3inch from the middle muffler back and it does sound very good, the turbo spool is loud and has made the turbo breathe alot easier and i rekon i have about 10 to 15% more power.

lol at the people saying putting an exhaust on a diesel is bad. Mate, its probably one of the better things you can do. An exhaust on the TD motors doesn't change the sound a whole lot, but does help the turbo boost up a little faster as it can expel the gasses alot faster. I wouldn't go any larger then a 3" though. A decent front pipe and down pipe cant harm it either.

You really only need a 2.5" mandrel system, but 3" is also fine if you want a bit more noise. Just get one big muffler in there, you can use a catalytic converter instead of a particulate filter. Have previously worked on a few of them/Rangers, with one large offset straight-through muffler and a 3" system they are still relatively quiet but have a really nice note.

straight threw 2.5" mandrel system, will sound good and open it up abit, but baxdoode is right the only really good sounding diesels are the patrol 4.2 TDs

Navara D22 3l Turbo Diesel... Exotic exhaust put a 3inch turbo back on mine with no mufflers.. straight through cat... The stock down pipe was a massive restricter!

They done a mint job! cant even see it out the back... Well hidden..

Has improved response and power! Sound wise can hear the turbo whistle up whereas you couldnt before, and a nice solid tone from the exhaust. Sounds Awesome! Always gets commented on...

Just put a front mount on the weekend, hidden in behind the bullbar so plenty of protection and good airflow onto it.. Way better torque!

3' Exhaust def worth it for the 3L... in saying that im sure the 2.5 inch system would pull the same results...

I hope it's a small front mount mate, if it's big you'd probably be better off with just a top mount.

Not tiny... Thinks its roughly 500x400... No bonnet scoop and top mount gets too much heat. Front mount def the better option for what i want it for. Towing 3t boat, not off road frequently enough for top mount. No lag, Very happy with the upgrade..

First few posters have no idea. I did a 2.5" pipe on my old 3.0l bt50 and it was awesome. 3" is a massive overkill for the 2.5L IMO however.

Big power gain and sounds awesome. Do eeeeet.
