Hey guys I thought it was time for a project update for my ET

It’s been a while since my last one and honestly I have made so many modifications since I don’t know where to start

Brief list would be as follows,

alloy radiator
Finished up fuel system
hydraulic clutch
Single throttle body conversion
Installed intercooler
Oil/air separator
Cage
…. The list go’s on, I don’t have all night

Here are a few pics of what’s new (and old)

My last engine setup, things have changed a bit wink.gif

I am hoping to have the car on the road mid Nov, only have turbo manifold, axles to be heat treated, N20 to installed, ceramic coat pipes, cam gears and little bit of plumbing to go, I’ll post up again once its done!

Cant wait, should be a lot of fun with 900 odd kg car smile.gif

P.S. any negative comments can get stuffed, i'm not interested at all in them

Just curious..why did you get rid of the quad throttle setup???

psi999
Post #4

for ease of tunability and a few other various reasons

thanks neil, its been a while in the works (i do all my own work in my garage so it takes time)

mrkerr, quite a bit now.... but not too much really, its been built over a long timeframe with a lot of thought on everything that has gone into the car..... not chucking a blank checkbook at a workshop and getting back something half assed.

Nismo, once the rear seat and parcel shelf go back in it should be, the pump and surge tank will also be boxed and vended outside the cabin

nvious, it shousld be ok, car has equal length drive shafts..... exotic will be doing the manifold, i'm doing the rest of the pipework smile.gif

Thanks Jaron, car has stock wheels and all

Sounds awesome mate! Top effort, love the fact that you have done everthing yourself as well thumbsup.gif

A bit like my car, except on a way smaller scale wink.gif

Just wondering, you said it will be on the road, but with NOS and a roll cage (unless it is certfied by ANDRA or the equivalent) will it be road legal? Just wondering, because if so, it would be a monster! I know i'd be scared tongue.gif

Good work. Hope to see it in the flesh sometime ohmy.gif

N20 is strictly for the track, i'm designing it so its easily removable

Cage will be DOT/ANDRA approved

Just got a few more things to go in and its ready to go…. Got to be a matter of weeks now but hopefully by the end of the year, though I may wait until start of new year to order my stuff from the USA (US & AUS free trade agreement, no more 15% tariff on car parts…. Just pay your 10% GST and your laughing).

Last parts to install,

Tomei rocker stopers
Crane cams valve springs
Tomei 270deg 12.5mm lift IN and EX cams / vernier cam gears
50HP wet NOS system

Cheers

I know VERY little about N20. Are you planning on using it just off the line for spool up or the whole run?

BTW what is the quickest ET Pulsar in Oz at the moment?

psi999
Post #32

probably just to spool it, I wont need the extra power at this stage

i think somewhere in the high 11's

Cheers guys.

P.S. Twincam16 i will check it out when i get home... cant remember now.

im guessing its not going to much of a daily driver jon?

sr20 + big hairdryer + light shell = monster of traction problems biggrin.gif

good luck with the build, hopefully see it terrorising the other n12's soon

Nvious
Post #34

still get to run it in?

manifold looks the goods.. but looks like a tight squeeze heh eek.gif hsdance.gif

psi999
Post #35

Not daily driver, but street car none the less.

I will only have traction problems if I drive like a spanker, I like my licence smile.gif
