hey guys,

Just bought a stock 6 speed series two vu ss ute,
just wondering where the best place is to get in tuned in Hobart?
hoping for a bit more power and economy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

cheers

^^^yeah what these guys said!

I had mine doen by a mainland guy who was down here, cause nobody in Hobart was doing LS1s yet apart from Howell who I wouldnt let tune in my radio stations.

Ive driven a mates ute done by Andy at Pro Auto and it was just as good as mine was!

Thanks guys, much appreicated, have to go check them out. hopefully the ute will gain a
bit more power, what mods do you recommend first? dont have a lot of coin, so just looking at
minor mods to start with. unless i sell the 260z...

well i recommend headers, high flow cats, exhaust....MAFLESS tune and a over the radiator cold air intake......

these yeilded top gains for me....alot more to come. but thats a good start.

however pro-auto are not cheap and with there work dont need to be. you pay for quality. these engines respond really well to mods. dont skimp out and go cheap..i bought expensive stuff as with these engines you usually get what you pay for. so if you dont have much money wait off a while i rekn.

and i agree with matt, wouldnt let howell automotive service my fridge let alone my car

yeah that sounds pretty good, wat sought of money am i looking at for tho's mods, headers, high flow cats, and cold air intake?

yeah do all of the above, thats generally considered step one for LS1s...probably not worth a tune without doing the full exhaust and intake at the same time.

That will get you between 220-240kw at the wheels, and be a lot lot better car to drive!

^^ Just ask sam he had his done not long ago...

yep i just had it done...got 234rwkw and 1365.7n.m...clutch fucked up tho and overheated (its shagged but usable lol) well ur looking at a bit of coin, dont wanna post up what i paid but a bit lol. but worth every cent. can do it pretty cheap if you use a plastic otrcai and a basic exhaust system (dunno if that will bring your power output a bit less than what i got not sure really).....i went and got all stainless steel items and a alloy otrcai. therefore my cost was a bit but definatly worth it for the quality and look.

go t the ls1 forums and do a bit of searching and make up ur own mind

never quote a Dynos rear output in Torque.
its not a true reading. Torque can only ever be measured Truly at the flywheel. There is a certain formula to give an approximate Torque figure but then it all depends on auto or manual and gearing.
ive seen cars making 150 rwkw on the dyno do that..... lol
is never correct lol.

sounds like it has a lot of punch now sammy !!! nice work!

a fair few things are going on her b4 the blower or puffers...gotta do it properly, no point just wacking one on a stock engine IMHO

haha thinking of getting a twin turbo kit down the track..long time away as the house takes alot of my money. plus the car needs a respray soon as the paint is horrid and kit needs a bit of work, so thats next on the list

i think everyone has their will and will not go to's

i only let 1 place do our work, and the reason being, cos he is one of my best mates, and i know if my mrs goes there with out me, she aint gonna get fucked over and ripped off blind

Cause a few rotors have gone bye bye out there, also one of my mates was out there dropping off some parts and they popped a 33 gtst.

It seems they try to string every last kw out of things just for numbers on paper, whereas Andy at Pro Autos at least tunes things so they take daily abuse no worries.
