I've tried searching this but couldn't find any results.

I just bought a car located an hour over the QLD/NSW Boarder (it's located in NSW). The car came with three months rego which has been paid for and set up. Can I drive it away without getting some sort of Road Worthy? And most importantly can I drive it in QLD with the NSW plates? It's registered in my fathers name.

Not to sure but if its registered to sum1 living in QLD then you will have to get new plates

If you're permanently residing in Queensland, you have to have the registration changed within 14 days.

Ultimately the NSW blue slip is useless to you, as to get it registered in QLD you'll have to get a new RWC. It's best to simply change it all over now, rather than stuff around later when you can't get in contact with the old owner.
