hi mates im in qld. need to check the details of a car to see if its stolen etc. paid for a certificate under the new pprs system and it didnt have any details. called them up and they said its only for registered vehicles now and they get there info from registration company and stuff.

is there a way to find out stuff for unregistered stuff?

When did they bring that in? I did one for my Harley on the 14th, no rego and had no problems.

When you pay for it, press 'issue search cert' and download it, that will have all the details. They don't show anything unless you download that part

I call the local boys and most time they will do a search. And ol mate above is right. I had to download it to see the relevant details.

I meant when did the no search on unreg vehicles start. I have used the register a few times and always follow up with a call to the locals. Been caught in the past and I cover my butt no matter how much the vehicle is worth.

My cert did show no data for stolen and writeoff but it is old, and the call to locals always a good thing as a backup regardless.. They login and there is a record of the call and search.
