what is the engine size of the 4age 16v, 20v. ? Are they a 1.6lt, 2lt or what?

the 4age is a 1.6 litre engine that comes in both 20v and 16v forms

anything 4A is 1.6

4AGE, 4AGZE, 4A-C, 4A-FE, etc

1597ccs to be exact I believe, see 70XINs post, they are all the same capacity.

you may be confused with the 16/20v bit, that's just the amount of valves on the head man.

as the name indicates it is a 4 litre...just like 1jzgte is a 1 litre and 2jzgte is a 2 litre

you can buy conversion kits for honda motors to put in mini's but will still cost somewhere around the 7 g mark

funny... my idea would cost 2-3 grand tops, about the same if not less than a 4agze conversion. get the same power. from a 1.3

Why not go the G13B (aka Suzi Swift GTI) motor?

Tried and tested by many people. 60kg lighter than a stock mini A series motor, and many many smooth ponies from such a tiny little package.

Go talk to minisown (or whatever his nick is now).

toyota 4ag's are tops.

go a 4age 20V blacktop... 165hp stock NA (nice n light) and a 6spd. smile.gif

orrr.... a 4agze, and a pulley kit.. = ~200hp

orrr... a 4agze, get rid of that supercharger, and take advantage of the tough internals and gearbox, as well as the lower compression, and turbo it!








there is alot of aftermarket support for the lil' 4ag. tongue.gif

i have thought about the honda vtec but cost too much. Gti swift and Gt starlets and getting done all the time but i want to be different. the 4age is cheaper to buy and easyer to get and can still be made as quick an fun as the others.

my mates dad in england got an escort engine into one with a 5spd, dual webers n all that. naturally aspirated, reckons it flew, beat 3.8L rover V8s and other ugly fast english cars in its day.
