ok

TasCommodores.com had a dyno day a few months ago

it was awsome

so... why not have A BOOSTCRUSING.COM DYNO DAY!!!!

the cost involved was $80 per ride and that was more than a few runs each

i have to check on the name and location of the place, i do know its a 2-wheel dyno tho so if you have a locked 4wd then there might be some problems...

i need to get some numbers so any one who is interested, Genuinly intersted please let me know

i need at least 15 people, i have 2...

2 much organisation involved, its already been tried....wont get enough interest....dr. drift is meant to be coming back down late this year, so wait til then and get a real tune done

I haven't heard good things about Dr Drift... but i'm not gonna say "don't go to him"....... thats ur choice!

the reason why there won't be much interest is the fact that half of the people on here don't have a car or don't have a car with much power..... or have a stock engine

hang on... dosnt cheddle have a stocko engine?

oh and BTW...its only a dyno run, they dnt provide tuning of any sort on the day

I'd do it but mines AWD. Plus I wanna get a new computer put in before I bother, otherwise its not worth it cos it'll just cut out in 3rd

Bad things??? All i have heard is good lol. Doesnt nissansilvia.com love him???

$80 is abit expensive, for $80 we got a drag day with as many runs as you could fit in in 4hours (i got 13runs biggrin.gif )
sure, for a drag day we needed 30+ people, and fuel to get there, but was alot more enjoyable than seeing my car sit on rollers,
if the price was more around $60ish, then i would be 100% keen

Sam is a legend....... please dont bag his work unless u have Personal reason to.

he might be a great bloke Benny. I don't know him personally... but I heard it from a guy who came down from the mainland not long ago who's into drifting.

The NS guys probably love him cause there ain't many people down here that can tune their cars decently.

Didnt GMB's engine blow up after a tune from Dr Drift?

Sonic Drift
Post #21

nah as far as i know GMB's dipstick fell out after the tune .....then the engine ceased.......

nothing to do with sam.

it had problems before hand and then didnt like the dyno. i love chinese whispers laugh.gif

$80 is cheapish for a dyno run, who's dyno would it be on though. howells or kutzi's? both give high readings

Tassie is ruled by heresay, keep it out of this topic and don't let it get to the defamation stage, that's when delazy will start suspending accounts smile.gif Go on.

A drags day would be hell fun... burnout.gif Maybe a better excuse for an outing. Would attract a lot more interest from others compared to a dyno day, although I wouldn't completely disregard a dyno day altogether

haha, i was happy with 13runs and getting to drive my car home biggrin.gif (nothing broke biggrin.gif )
Timmy from the R31 club got 30runs in, and Robbo (old 70s skyline with RB30) got nearly 40runs, so for $80 its fairly good biggrin.gif
yeah a dyno day would be good, but $80 is abit much
only problem with a drag day, is someone has to frount the $2200 to hire the track first, and organise it,

That (and the new fuel) and you'll be unstoppable biggrin.gif

TAS-VK

When the drag day over at tascommodores.com was on i do believe that every spot was taken and on the dyno day they got the numbers needed for it to go ahead and now there is another drag day coming up and the spots are filling fast and there aint anywhere near as many people over there.

Cheddle get over there and ask who organised it and talk to them as they will point u in the right direction thumbsup.gif

Kesson
Post #32

You'd need to get exact numbers, split the cost and get it up front
Although its never as easy as that...

harolto
Post #33

if someone hired the strip, capped entrys at 40cars, @$60 each car
this would put $200 towards some trophys/BBQ/their organisation costs,
and im sure they would fill the spots quite quickly,
sooo who has the cash? tongue.gif

If gold coin donation was brought into play (from spectators) a number of prizes could be had... different categories for example best of species, booby prize etc

...Maybe thats a stupid idea...dunno

We were mucking around when that was said about Sam J.

What was said was only heresay anyway wink.gif.

Sam knows his shit and wont take any risks when tuning a car smile.gif. His tuning abilities are renowned Australia-wide, nuff said wink.gif.
