I recently bought a 1996 Asia rocsta 4x4. Its a 2.2lt diesel kia engine, but copied from a mazda RF.
But, the engine is shot. Blowing blue smoke, harmonic balancer is buggered, injector is cracked etc etc.
Car has a top speed of 80km mamoru.gif

These cars didn't sell well, so parts are hard to find.
Lol so I was wondering if anyone knew what engine i could throw in it, that would be more common the the current one???
Must be a diesel!

any help would be greatly appriciated!

cheers,
Anthony

Is the 2.2 the same motor thats in the Kia Vans? perhaps that'd be an easier avenue for you, just try to get van motor with no accessories and swap all your gear onto it?

Failing that, shortly I'll have a nissan 2.7 4cyl turbo diesel motor that you can buy cheap! same as the Terrano motors. thumbsup.gif

they look pretty small, i'd just try putting a vitara motor in there
or better yet, cut your losses and buy a vitara

shagged engine, SOA conversion that needs to be reversed... just get rid of it and buy something that isn't totally rooted before you waste thousands on it.
