cool car dude, im building a 3tgte atm aswell however 600 is very optimistic unless u plan on running 40psi or getting a bigger turbo? is urs still a 1.8L or is it bored out?

thats why its an estimate mate until tuning. if not i will get a bigger turbo , na its board out to a 2.3 im pritty sure i need to ring the fella i brought it of to get all the details of him.

No, it said plain and simple: 600hp!! now that u have changed it, and said estimated and you will wait and see when u get it tuned... i will be a lil more understanding.. ...however id be hoping for nothing more than 400atw with your setup!! thumbsup.gif

mate it says estimated power wer u hav to type the power rating in ....... yer i did say that then i wrote that becoz people wer saying wat thay wer
saying mate.... i dont really care how understanding u are.... if it dose reach that ill get a bigger turbo thats why it says estimated power mate..

dude, as i said, people were only saying that because it said " Power: 600hp" now that u have edited your post, and estimated 600hp... people's opinion may not be as direct. thumbsup.gif do some research mate... study up what your components are capable of, get exact specs and go from there... dont set the bar to high and end up dissapointed!! none the less, 400rwhp on the street is more than enough in a 1200kg car!!

wasnt having a go at you mate was just saying.
people have made around the 400hp mark on under 30psi with a good setup so thats probably what ur looking at, im positive u can bore to a max of just under 2litres, unless u hav a different crank?
yes! more specs would be very helpful to your build and ur tuner wink.gif
mines currently in progress, bore is going out to 89mm, billet main caps, pistons rods everything lol, i want to be able to see 30psi reliably smile.gif

mate as i said i didnt build it so thats why its an estimate, it might be bit high but its an estimate, wat i got told bout the engine is that it could take so if it dosnt reach the 6 so wat im not disapointed mate ill strip it down put bigger set up on it then try make the 6 mark i just dont like the way people talk mate..

yer well thats wat it seemd like at the start mate. im saying ive been told it could take that the engine if it dose make 400 ill be happy with 400, but thats why its estimate mate if i get 400 ill put a bigger turbo set up on it but the engine has been built to suit 600 mate and yes it dose hav dif crank ground down to fit the hole engine has 300kms on it mate .

No matter what turbo you put on it, it wont make 600hp.

Case closed. Listen to What Boostn32GTR is saying champ.

Also your 1800cc motor has NOT been bored / stroked out 500cc...

And also, if can't handle feed back, don't post your car. People are going to like it, some people are going to hate it. Others are going to think you are a total thrower with no idea who purchased another persons car.

Only you can be the one who assists everyone into what group you fit into mate.

motor is quite capable of making 600hp, just depends how much money he has, but yes i agree that you need to listen to what people are trying to tell you, knowledge is everything,

Dude, you have went about this all wrong... Not saying I don't like the car... I do, ppl are just a bit off as 600 is a bit far fetched. Anyways, constructive advice would be to gather as much information about exactly what has and has not been done to the engine. Bear in mind ppl selling cars are not always 100% honest. It's not a 2.3ltr, so just find out the specs and if needed have a mechanic confirm exactly what it does and doesn't have. Once you have that you can set about building it the way you want and the engine can cope with. Going a little conservative is often a good idea as its easier on the engine and drivetrain. Lastly, have it tuned, see what it makes and drive it before chasing this 600 number. I say this because a 400hp car with smaller turbo would be more fun on the street with less lag and more usable power. If this was my car the last thing I would be thinking is needs a bigger turbo, 400hp will be epic fun in this car !! GL with it wink.gif

lol I need one of those for my car, so I can do an estimated 1000rwkw on a t04e turbo from last century.

I have driven many old Celicas owned a twin turbo 1GGTE RA23, doing a 1JZ RA28 now. I know you seem to have your heart set on this 600HP figure. But this would be simply and utterly useless.. your power band would be farked, you will break so many parts and you would hate it. Dont get caught up on the figure itself. Get excited about making as much power as you can in the 0-100Km zone, I would aim for 300HP in a TA22, this will still scare the living sh!t out of you. These cars are tiny.

My RA23 (only fractionally bigger) than a ta22 with the 6 cylinder 2 litre 1GGTE made 210HP and it got pretty damn wild and could be a handful if you didnt know what your doing, like others have said on here these are light short wheelbase cars and you dont need a squillion HP to get the hugest grin on your face. I would aim for 300HP its realistic, you will still have a spasticly fast car and it will be a lot of fun.

your estimation is about 200hp over what it would be actually making, and that's if your lucky
There was a tonne of turbo 3T's getting around with just as much if not more work (hard to tell with your extremely vague "can handle 25psi" comment what if any work the engine actually has) in the early 90's. Most made 300hp or less so a 400hp estimate would be fairly generous
