Hey guys,

I asked the question about the learner laws a while ago but nothing had been heard of. I've had from a LARGE amount of people as of sometime this year, learners must complete 200 hours and hold their L's for two years? How true is this and is there anywhere that actually states this or is it all talk? Seems abit weird that there's nothing on Queensland transport that I can find and nothing around on google.

Thanks heaps.

i dont think it will happen seeing as they only changed the rules 2 120 hours only last year and major restructoring would be needed waste of money in my mind

Rumour.
Had an argument about this the other week. Got in contact with Queensland transport. They said it's bullocks. I won the argument.

Should have to do 1000 hours as the amount of dumb new drivers out there is out of control.

Make the penalties tougher more points lost and bigger fines also show no mercy in the courts when you front them.

All friends that have been from there learners this year, each have been told the exact thing. Atleast 20 odd.

Oh fucks sake as if they would change it to that just after introducing the new system...

If the government/QLD transport dont mention it anywhere its not happening.

Told by who? Other friends? Who were told by their cousin's sister's mother's brother who is their son's wife's husband?

You clearly don't want to listen to people who know, because you keep posting this over and over again.

Hahah Rookie let loose on these chumps ma man. I dont know where they get there facts!!! Look it up on Qld transport site. If it changes and it wont for a while, you will see tv advertisements, news paper right ups and when applying for learners you will receive all the relevant facts. Till then the laws are current and in place. So please stop getting all these ideas from other kids Myspace bulletins.

Have a nice day learners.

There's no need to be a smartass about it, I've heard from numerous people, not even school friends, people off here aswell so i asked, what's the harm?

Mate no harm in asking. Just use common sense.

The harm is completely ignoring people telling you otherwise and continually asking again and again. It's that simple. Anyone would think you want it to happen.

No, it's the fact that these 'People' have heard it through queensland transport after getting there learners, I wanted confirmation, it's not as if theres 342347947 threads already on this topic, Im not referring to you, but the other idiots in the topic with no decent input what so ever.

I asked a question, got my answers, no need to be jerks about it.

I also have heard things from Qld transport employees but until it's on the website it has not changed.
