Yeah, CB radios are a must

my cruise a few weeks back I have video recording of a group of cars with 7 of 8 that had CB radios

a call went out and Immediately everyone turned around... and went the right way

wouldn't be without one

We left Aspley with approx 40 car's...

Had some minor problems with two car's before the exit on the highway, but we regrouped well.

Ran into major parking problems at Hastings St, with about an hour or so of fucking around, but we worked it out well in the end with some very good parking at the boat ramp at Mooloolaba.

All of us that went up to the seafood joint all enjoyed the rest of the day, some people didn't like the range of food available and ended up getting a bit narky about it all and headed home into the traffic.

Unfortunately for them, they found out how bad the traffic is on the main highway at that time in the afternoon. (A few guys went lapping for the scenic view of bikini's also..)

The other 20 or so of us, went off for the scenic and leisurely drive back to Brisbane, with the odd person dropping off here and there because they lived nearby, close to Brisbane there was 14 of us and it was a very good drive.

yeah great drive out. smile.gif shame my intercooler was as hot as my turbo tongue.gif good ol'd stocky. pinged the shit out my engine sad.gif

meanwhile i think the heat got to a few people. i for one was a. hungover cause mcleod made me drink lots of stuff saturday night wink.gif, and b. the heat wore me out.

otherwise a good day out!

good work on the ordiniseing. it was all smooth sailing till hasings street, and use of the uhf's helped on the hiway.

It was smooth sailing after Hastings St once we regrouped at Mooloolaba too though!

So overall reasonably good, we've got a few new things to recognise for the next cruise but things can only get better....

I've got some idea's for the next one with reserved parking, so we'll see how things go, might leave it til next year anyway.

Hey Guys... I'd personally like to thank all who made it and stuck it out through the problems at noosa.... OH WELL...

It was good to take a passanger seat on the way back from moloolaba and just take it in while Abzero (sean) drove the rest of the way...

Coming back through the city with NismoGirl and co, was most memorable... I'm sure the chick in the corolla will remember next time she thinks about cutting off a white skyline smile.gif

Bit upset about the cops issuing 3? fines... but dems da brakes.. I'll post my photos as soon as I can...

Cheers, looking forward to the next one....

3 fines ??? who got done ?? and for what ??

Not a bad day in all.. i didnt have a CB, but was still good.. got some good footage on camera - when i can be bothered putting it on the computer and editing it i will..

Day had its share of problems - mainly the 2 cars on the highway (what did happen there ??) and my transmission overheating while idling through noosa's various carparks... and then my front number plate falling off (thanks ToranaFan for the spare screw wink.gif)

Mcleod
Post #9

I wasn't aware of this either.. just been informed..

1. the mini, got busted for boosteds15's stero lol...

2. wld33 got done for talking and driving on phone

3. one of the silvias got pulled over outside the valley for no seatbelt

First two up near Mooloolaba and the last was at the tail end of the cruise where there was about 5 of them left heading through town..

mattson
Post #10

Yeah.. but people.. MORAL of the story is do not... I REPEAT DO NOT cut nismo girl off.. i have now witnessed first hand her wrath...

and it was most fun to help... lol... we were laughing all the way back to the coast...

[quote from nismo girl] that bitch just cut me off... get her....[end quote] ... skyline roars past... smile.gif

Mwahaha... Mattson she didn't cut me off.. She was being an ignorant bitch and went right up the lefthand side lane and pushed my friend in the GTiR nearly into the wall. :x No one pushes my friends around

So that was when we started to chase her. Anyway..

Well I have to say I slept really well last night. Still a bit tired this morning but

It was an excellent day and I would like to thank Mcleod and Mattson and everyone else who contributed to the day.

AND wtf?? people getting cranky about the food choice at a "fish and chip shop... What else can you expect at a fish and chip shop? A five course meal?

Anyway, I had fun... so did Andrew.

Well Myself and James (mini) had a BLAST, It was great seeing all the cars leavn Aspley, and treckin up the highway; I loved the fact the boys in blue and occassionally pink were there to see us off, right on time to! laugh.gif Noosa was a bummer thou a plenty off good scenery! We when finally found you all again we just about had to scoot due to work commitments sad.gif It was great to actually put a face to a few of the personalities! Post #19

We (people in my car) packed our own lunch, we had fresh sanga's in the park.. it was great... smile.gif

Nice view of the somewhat windy noosa beach, but all in all good value day.

the return trip with the smaller numbers up glass house was by far the highlight, for those who stuck around it was a great trip home smile.gif

Cheers

I got seperated from everyone as they left the boatramp carpark - then decided to head home... got down to the mountian turn off - just passed it (like 10 meters) and had to stop for traffic... (those who knew about my gearbox problems earlier in the day knows that my gearbox just wont last through traffic like that - as i had puffs of smoke coming out from the gearbox while idling through noosa)... found a u turn, and turned around on the highway and took the mountain cruise through to caboolture, then dropped off to the g/f's parents on bribie island to wait for the traffic to ease.

Was a great day! Hope to see more of these kinda big cruises more often.

Im just sad that I had to leave earlish for some software rollout for work.

Gees the traffic on the way home was absolutely fucked.. took me like 2 hours to get home..

Anyways.. all in all.. good day (apart from the noosa debarcle)

As i came past there - there were a few kids hanging round and one of the ambo's took a skateboard from inside the amulance and gave it to (presumably) the "victims" friends. I'd have a punt that some 12 y/o was out skating around with his friends, prolly tried to impress someone with a grind or some other trick and came out 2nd best with the pavement.

no.. havent yet - it never popped up again since that night till the cruise... will get it looked at on Thurs when the cam gears finally get put on and the cam is dialed in correctly.

Arr.. The kid they took away was about 5.. maybe 6. If there was a skate board I'm guessing the parents weren't really concentrating on what there child was doing and hes crashed and broken something.

We'll what can I say, beautiful cars beautiful women, what a way to spend a Sunday. Thanks all for making a couple of new comers welcome, even when we got lost from the main body at Noosa it was great to meet some people one on one, (please my apologies now if I don't remember your names straight away next time we meet!) I am looking forward to the next cruise and to the guy who asked where all the single girls were, I'll bring three along next time to make up for the lack this time.

As for the Cops? Well lets just say that afte booking the Skyline, he must have realised he'd flagged down the wrong car from the pair. As soon as he pointed at me I lent out the window and told Chris(boosted) to go. go go haha.

Thanks again and too the 6 cars who put thier faith in me I thank you, next time I promise three things

1. not to try to wipe out an ambulance whilst leading the way.

2. To lead at a moderate speed.

and lastly

3. to disconnect all your damn horns! Sheesh what a noise we made
