Anyone else think its weird, that the WRX has a new generation 2 ltr engine, and the STI has the old 2.5 ltr from previous models?

It smells like to me, a last second change in the STI. Probably where trying to get the new generation engine in the STI, either in 2ltr or 2.5 ltr forms, and it must of failed in testing and reliability etc.

Anyone got any inside info?

its slower too huh.gif 5.5sec 0-100 compared to the previous model's 4.7sec 0-100. to do with the new 6 speed they are using apparently. its meant to handle better though
