For example, bog stock E series Senator. what are they, 3xxKW at the fly? Made 250rwkw. SO yeah cant see a stock SSV with 270 flywheel making 255rwkw.

Still a hot car dude. I hope theres a cam going in it when warranty runs out...

There is no point stating rear wheel power, unless you have actually had it on a dyno. Until then, stick with the 270kw at the fly Holden state.

hey man, just some info i have with the power figures.... i also have an SS-V and i had mine on the dyno bog stock and it made 216rwkw, i then had an SS Induction cold air intake/ 3" xforce catback exhaust installed had it on the dyno again and it made 226rwkw and lastly i had the intake changed to an OTR and a power torque engines tune done and it then made 252rwkw's

So for all the people talking about it this is true dyno proven figures
Hope this has helped you out man with a bit more info..... BTW nice ute too man the white on black looks very nice! But put the SS side badges back on it looks naked! haha
Also a bit more info here for you the guys at Power torque engines also told me that holden will still accept the new car warranty if you keep your airflow meter when doing a tune so in fact you can have a tune done on it as long as its a maff tune done by an approved Walkinshaw shop i dont know how true that is but the guys from the shop told me that, they are a fantastic shop so i do believe it would be correct. anyways there is my 2cents haha

    Cheers
    Corey

^^Yep agree with Corza, mine made 215rwkw when it was stock on a mainline dyno down here.
Which is pretty much dead on 20% drivetrain loss from the 270 at the fly, so was exactly what i expected.

Nice ute haha! I wish mine was an 8 sad.gif Bloody P plate laws.
I think you've made me decide 19's are just that bit too small for these. Definetly be getting 20's now, very simialr design to yours.

Also, is yours the electronic locking hardlid? Or is that an aftermarket one?

In terms of warranty being voided, it all depends on your dealer. If they tell you something will not void your warranty it may even be worth while getting it in writing.

In most cases you will find whatever mod you do will void the corresponding warranties of components that could be affected by this,
For example I have lowered my ute with different springs and struts/shocks, this has in turn probably voided the warranty on a lot of my suspension components. However I have been told for Holden not to cover a fault whilst within warranty period they have to prove that your modification contributed to the fault/failure/damage occurring.

Simple mod's like cat-back exhausts, lowering etc will be fine. However once a vehicle is "tuned" by anyone other than a Walkinshaw approved workshop or if the motor is opened to put a bigger cam in etc you may run into some problems getting them to cover components, but this varies from dealer to dealer.

One of the most common reasons for warranty claim on VE's is when the clutch becomes "rooted" (technical term) wink.gif
The new SS clutches don't stand up well to spirited driving and this is a known issue from Holden.
I've heard some cases of modified VE's (tune, bigger cam etc) having their clutch replaced under warranty and at the opposite end of the spectrum I know people who have had theirs not covered on stock VE's. As I said it all comes down to the dealer in the end, but If they wont cover something make sure they prove it is your fault wink.gif
