mike just had the same problem.. his r32 was just cutting out at the lights while idling. wierd stuff, new afm = happiness tongue.gif

i dont think i can come as i finish work at 4pm on a sunday but if i get off early i will head down to byron to see u all. If not me and my red Nissan TRX will be at the spit at about 4:30pm so i hope to see alot of u there.f

Oh yea. nearly forgot.

OPERATION NORTHROADS is in affect. targeting P platers with big shiny wheels and turbos.

Nah seriously. double highway patrol, targeting speeding, talking on mobiles and P platers.

Went for a drive to ocean shores which is a 1/4 of the way to byron and saw 2 hway cars and a bike. so i would advise bringing UHF's to help play spot the popo.

Not sure if its double demerits or not but, that wont matter if you dont get caught facesjump.gif

And also, if your coming form QLD to NSW - YOU NEED TO DISPLAY P'S IN NSW. last time i got caught was 3 points and $300 fine when it was DD.

I was quite sure you didn't need to display P plates in NSW if you come from QLD as we are bound by a different set of licencing rules and regulations?
I wouldn't have a clue if im a red/green/blue/yellow P plate? Or what speed limit I have to drive at?!
Can't see how they can make me as I wasn't taught the NSW licencing rules.

monkey, you are bound to comply by the road rules in the state your in. Might help to read up on them. But yea you gotta display them.

On your licnese it will say what you have.

I am LR P2 - which means i can drive light rigid trucks and provissional 2's(green Ps) - 100k's max in NSW. 110ks in QLD.

I've confirmed it with a NSW cop that we do have to display P plates in NSW even if we have qld licence and qld registered car, and its not a risk i want to take as im on good behaviour and cant risk losing any more points.

This is just a suggestion, but what if we change the destination, still keep the same meeting spots, but head through coolangatta and up to Pt Danger lookout, its right on the border, literally there's a line showing the border! So we'll be safe there, and there's a really nice beach and areas to eat and takeaway places. Also a beautiful spot for photos. I think this will be much safer for most of us as the majority going on this cruise are on their P's i imagine. Thoughts anyone?

Quite frankly, im in doubt to be on the cruise, because my Skyline has a cracked head gasket. Although all the parts are here ready to go, I just cant seem to get anyone to take it in til this Friday :\
So we will have to see.
