Engine: 1jz

Exhaust: 3" from turbo back fabing it myself

Suspension: just stock for now

Wheels: NEED WHEELS!!! lol but prob end up getting drag ways

Modifications: atm only 550cc inj, gt3788, Haltech Platinum Interceptor, 3k stall other stuff but owell

Stereo Audio / Visual: n/a dont think im really going 2 put anything in it

Estimated Power: n/a im only looking for 500 at the fly

i would like 2 know what you guys think i should use for a diff on the hilux? i was thinking like a xr6 or 8? and cutting it down :S (need really good disc brake) thats why i ask i do have a mk3 supra here was thiknin of usin em) im just laying the loom and stuff out making mounts pipes in place so on and pulling it out and painting it i didnt see the point of cleaning it all and painting it just 2 start drilling and welding inside :S

hope 2 have the lux on the road end of this year ;/ keep in mind guys its only like day 3 for the hilux


yes this is a remake cuz last 1 had my skyline in it 2 ppl didnt like having 2 cars on 1 page tongue.gif

    use the stock diff your a 4wd hilux diff the handle what is thrown at them really well

    As said last week you would have to be an idiot to change the hilux diff. You would be better off spending the time and money you would on changing it to upgrade your FRONT brakes to something substantial...

    people with big hp rotors and what not often get the hilux diff so why would you be looking at changing

    yea mate im upgrading 2 supra brakes 2 start with for front... brakes as you would know are drums and i would like a lsd.

    only aiming for 500fwhp and you put a gt37 on it? gt3076 would make 500fwp and be alot more streetable aka less lag smile.gif

    looking good either way

    have a 3 k stall so anythin under 3.5 is lost only wonna make thr power in high rpm tongue.gif i want it on the road but really for drag if i can

    Why not use the hilux diff? There are lsd options, anything with a 'g' series centre such as 4wd hilux, supra, chaser and I believe late model soarer (i think?). Not too hard to fit into the diff snout I believe. Brake wise there are bolt on disk kits available too.
