should also mention my other option is my mum's 09 ford focus, it is manual?? but i dont know, still dont like the thought of a fwd car :/ and a lot of people got me wrong with the swing the back out part, i ment it has enough power to rather then die out.

Enough power to do what?

I'd take the Focus. Then use the $1500 to lower it and get some cheap wheels. Odds on it's actually quicker than most of the old shitboxes other people have been posting in here. R31 Skyline? VS Commodore? Puh-lease.

i would definatly go a new hatch some of em go 10 times better then any old thrashed ealry 90s rwd car. just because its fwd doesnt mean it wont go hard. but on another note wtf is with all the mummy and daddy shit grow up and call ur own shots

IMO;

1
2
3
4
5
6

Any of these would get far more looks, more respect, continue to be worth what you bought it for (or go up in value) Look better if you go cruising, or goto events. Then any new car that your mummy could buy you ever would.

i got a r33 gts non turbo manual with some mods, and is one of the fastest P platers car out there. unfortunately its to fast and im to much of a knob to slow down so i now have no license for another 5 months, hence why im selling it, not to old and not too new, 8g and its yours?

Quoted for lulz.

I remember the thread about the V6 VR Commodore where he claimed it was the quickest P plate car in Qld. That turned out to be a good thread. Fast cars don't cause people to lose their licence, bad driving does. I have 4 cars, 3 are easily quicker than an N/A Skyline, and my Ford Transit would be not far behind and I've never lost my licence. You need to change your attitude towards driving on the streets or this will keep happening regardless of what car you drive.

still thanks for the help thumbsup.gif

If you want a new car why would you want to swing the back out dufass?? just bigger bills and your mummy will have to pay for it you barely have enough to cover rego let alone, fuel, insurance. Better off getting a old shiter and saving your money for a decent car

I normally wouldn't recommend that particular bitza of left-over parts, but it worked with my theory of a 'budget' tow car, as it's not very old and around the 16k price tag.

All it'd take is that video of a Chinese car taking on the 60kmh frontal impact test, showing the steering column punching the dummy straight in the face immediately after deploying the airbag, to turn his mum off that idea LOL

Not the Great Wall, but just an idea of what the Chinese are capable of when they need to cull the population I guess.

dont ditch the FWD cars til you actually know what their like.
their not as bad as you think, you jus have to know ur car, ur limits and when the time is right!
my first car was a hyundai excel and ive just gone to a gemini. gemini shits on what the excel is like but i was brought up around rwd cars so being put in a fwd isnt my fav thing but i got to know the car and can still drive it better then my bf (yes im female)
dont waste ur money on ur first car unless u plan on taking it off the road later on for a project or looking after it.
trust me ur first car is meant to be run to the ground so why waste the money. enjoy the learning experience before u step it up. im on my p's myself and wouldn't change the experiences ive had

stick with your mums focus. fuck i'd love to have a relative new car. who cares if i cant swing the back out, knowing p platers you don't have the skill to bring it back in after you've kicked it out.

i think you should learn to drive properly before getting an expensive car and drive responsibly so you dont go injuring yourself or others. how are you gunna feel if your write off your brand new $16,000 car because you tried to fully sick drift in the wet when you have literally no experience.
