Door Jambs were done tonight on my S15 :) I am THE happiest @#$! on the plant, the second I saw the paint, I couldn't stop smiling! Cannot wait to get my car back on the road :D

Pardon the shit pictures, I'm going to go there tomorrow and take pictures with my DSLR... Its funny how different light and a crappy camera phone makes it different.

The paint is R33 GTR Series 1 Midnight Purple... Pictures don't do it justice, but you get the picture

Are you for serious? Paint the reflector of your headlights (yknow, the bit that actually throws the light) 2pak black?

Fuck me, commodore drivers (p platers at that) never cease to amaze me.

Use a tinted vinyl so you can heat and stretch/shrink it around any curves. And then you can just peel it off if you ever need to.
Lamin-X films are extremely easy to install. I've done a few mates cars with the stuff now. Just order it from the states. It doesn't take long to get here. And they do pre-cut sheets for VE's (Pontiac G8) http://www.lamin-x.com/Pontiac-G8-09-10-Headlight-Covers-p/pt007.htm
The gif below has pics and tint percentages too.

Cheers, thank you. That looks like exactly what I was after. I was contemplating getting tint and just trimming the excess off, problem solved.

OT:
Finally have matching rims front and rear. Lol. Also washed it (after this pic)

On the cards. I've ordered some tint for both the head/tail lights, 83% and 48% and will see how it looks on the car vs. how legal it is with the brake light visibility distance etc.
I looked at removing the rear badge and don't want to leave holes in the tailgate. I'll wait till I get the inevitable dent in the tail gate like most utes and remove it and weld the holes then. :)

Really, I thought all holden utes had the holes behind the badge. Will attempt to remove the badge tomorrow.

Edit-
Just searched justcommodores and there isn't holes. Thanks GTRwilson.

no probs. Helped a mate debadge his MY09.5 VE SV6 ute, and yeah as said, no holes on any. Fishing line works well to cut through the double sided tape holding them all on.

Then clean the residue off with thinners or turps. Be careful not to let the thinners stay on the paint too long, wash it off with vinegar or water
