Tightened the radiator hose that the mech left loose. After pulling the Turtleshell off realised how freakin dirty my engin bay was so gave it a quick degrease.

Already had the guage, i know i should get a defi for mad street cred for my non rego track car.

I would've loved to have gone an rb25, but it's better to learn to walk before you run.

Atleast if i blow this up i will have slid a car first and not be wrecking an rb25 by being a retard.

Atleast it isn't an sr.

Why do you need an aftermarket tacho on a rb20? You know you've hit the rev limiter when it throws a rod...

OT: Bought a battery for my un-registered track car that has defis and a sr20

went to fire the big block in the chev, x0 oil pressure :ninja:

turns out was sold the wrong length oil pump drive, which means the distributor isn't quite picking up on it properly......so out comes the engine to install the correct drive :head_wall:

Welcome to my life :P Except mine makes 10x the oil pressure it should because of a stuck relief valve :P

OT: Played around a bit trying to get said relief valve out, no luck so far. Looking towards timing assembly & front cover off :(

Fucking better be for the coin ive spent. Was having some minor issues with it for a while now and the builder said its the tune. Took it for a touch up tune, they said its the 3rd/4th clutch packs in the box and wouldnt touch the tune till its sorted. Box builder was certain that his box was 100%. then what happens today, i lose 3rd and 4th. Sounds like the tuner was on the money all along...

Time will tell i guess once it comes out.

Degreased it to find oil leaks, found 2 small ones that are a easy fix. Started it up, drove into the shed to park it. Looked underneath, Steady stream of oil pouring out of the bellhousing, so either rear engine or sump seal has let go :(

Ripped the old one out (and on a side note - bolts that have been in place for 40+ years can go get f*%#ed!), put the new one in yesterday. Need to allign everything today and start working on the crazy ass shaft.

Chucked new ceramic coated hooker headers on, which might need to be replaced again depending on the steering shaft. :provoke:

Might bolt up the exhaust today so I can atleast fire it up... been a while.

Possibly the most satisfying arvo of working on my car ever.
Now it has the horn fixed, front corner light working, cleaned the points on the distributor cap (no more trouble starting), put the interior back in perfectly with new bolts and clips so it's tight with no rattles, tied down my battery and amplifier in the boot so they're not sliding around now, and fixed my windscreen jets :) And to top it off, my intermittently awesome rear speakers are working again. It must have sensed the love i was giving it <3

Polished the original wheels with Autosol.
Finished off my Stage 1 flash tune with some fuel economy improvements and adjusting the DBW throttle control, just short of 180Kw@wheels from its current tune
Got my old 2011 WRX STi sedan exhaust to fit to the Forester in a few dats to let the engine breathe, have to order the WRX sedan quad exhaust extension trims to get the exhaust to fit and not hack the bumper bar up.

Yes, the Pulsar is filthy dirty, I took it to a hill climb / khanacross event and it has not been washed since :P

Was going to lower my front coils, but decided to get stuck into figuring out why I'm only making 350whp @ 26psi instead of 500. Started with the aftercooler and found it was empty. Filled it with destilled water. Checked again, water not circulating. Took off the front bumper. Checked pump, pump is fine. Checked hose - kinked from engine swap. Unkinked hose but still no water circulation. Bought new hose and started to re-route it as to not kint but ran out of time and had to go to work.

Will finish tomorrow, and hopefully get through about 4 of my list of things to check / fix / adjust.

Sounds promising Brad.

Removed the steering wheel and replaced the horn ring as it was not quite sitting correctly and shorting out.

Retapped the screw holes for the horn cover on the wheel so it wasn't flopping around everywhere.
