Wow it's been a while since I posted, things are quiet here, and from my first attempt the new set up failed me.

Correct nets are NOT required unless the load you have cannot be secured properly using fastners of some sort... A good example are trades using milk crates to carry parts, like plumbers carrying PVC joiners, these can't be fastened by a ratchet strap so a net is used to ensure they stay put.

Common sense is the prevailing factor here, think about it like this... Have a look what's in your ute or trailer and think would I like any of that flying off and hitting my pride and joy, if the answers no, then secure it..

If your pride and joy is a bogans chariot... Then meh!!!

My point was.. work boots that are within the high tray sides of a ute will not "fly out" under normal conditions and emergency braking and swerving and as such do not need a net over them. They are contained within the ute sides and follow the guidelines set out by TMR. eg: Are not loaded above the sides of a ute or trailer, then rope or webbing straps will not be needed to restrain the load. Otherwise all convertibles need a net over the top of them for the ladies handbag on the passenger seat etc.
