I'm "between cars" at the moment, due to deviating into 4wd's and mud racing for a while.

My question is this - I'm looking at researching/buying a new car over the next few months (cant rush these things) and I want some suggestions of makes/models to look at.

The criteria I have are;

Under 10k all up and on the road,

Really prefer 1990 onwards unless theres a good reason to go earlier,

Economical when I dont push it (ie: Calamvale to Clayfield 5 days a week),

4 or 5 seats (to fit some passengers on Saturday nights),

NOT a boring granny car (so no Magna's or Camry's),

It needs to have some "cred" but I'm not building a show car here, so need sounds and exhaust, etc,

I'm not scared of imports (the missus drives a Delica - woohoo).

So far on my list are things like;

1986.5 Supra,

1991/1992 Silvia,

1990 Celica SX,

1994 Toyota Seca,

1990 Starlet GT (black $9995, horny).

Some come on guys whaddaya all reckon?

Biases and honest critisism greatly appreciated.
