Difficult to say. We know that at night people are more lethargic and become less alert due to the lack of transport vehicles on the road, slight increase in saturated oxygen in the troposphere and a number of other factors. Since both curfew and vehicular restrictions are imposed onto P platers, I'd say they both influence the over all effect. Such a small minority of people own modified cars so I can't see how banning turbo cars could be the reason. Mind you probably would know more people with modified cars than most people because that's the scene you're in. It may even make it seem like much more people own modified cars then they actually do. |

Ok smart cunt, you want to play that shit do you? Explain to me how I can't "handle hipo vehicles safely"? Also, a link to the thread in question would be nice, seeing as I have made over 30,000 replies on the forum here and funnily enough, some of those replies I'm a bit hard remembering............. Now now Ben, don't beat the poor kid with the hose to badly. |

Ok mate im the new khubner because i pointed out that you were sprouting shit with little empathy or thought. I know ur a very senior member on here thats why i didnt expect u to be so butthurt. Butthurt? Lol. Anything but champ. You never answered my question either, incidentally. And how, pray tell, do I sprout shit, based on experience? To "sprout shit" as you eloquently put it, is to throw uneducated and non factual assumptions or accusations around. Something which I haven't done, seeing as it's experience. Perhaps try your hand at one of the newer members, or one of your generation before setting your targets too high, when trying to bait people on here........................ ![]() |

This whole thread is about laws which assume P platers can't handle them either. The only difference between you and me ( A P plater for like 2 more weeks) is you have been proven to be irresponsible in a car by risking the lives of others. It would make more sense to ban you from driving these cars than it would be ban all "THESE FUCKING P PLATERS MATE GOT NO EXPERIENCE WHEN WILL THEY LEARN" |

Not attacking you entirely, you've made some valid points, but in the time i've known Ben i think i've only heard half of the things he's done within the relms of the car scene. And even you can't deny that experience is the most contributing factor. I can tell you this, if you haven't had a close encounter due to your own mis-guided retarded decision while on the road, then you won't understand the validity of experience. It's those stupid moments we all experience that make us wake up and think, fuck, im not invincible! |

It would make more sense to ban you from driving these cars than it would be ban all "THESE FUCKING P PLATERS MATE GOT NO EXPERIENCE WHEN WILL THEY LEARN" Hahahaha. I forgot you were 20. 5 tickets including defects in 15 years of driving, an average of one every 3 years. Considering I received 3 of those in one go, and they were all defects, and defects at which did not "put anyone's life at risk" (Stickers on windscreen, not rwc spare tyre and colour of vehicle not changed at DOT) which were unknown to me at the time, yes I must be an inherent danger on the road to every other person. Did I mention I also drove trucks for a trucking company for 10 years? Would you like to throw the stereotypical truck driver analogy at me as well? (Incidentally I didn't do interstate, only intrastate if it helps) Fact of the matter is, P platers are inexperienced, immature and highly susceptible to doing stupid things on the road. Just because you have seen two people do something stupid that are over 30 doesn't mean there aren't 40 P Platers doing the same thing or worse. Trust me, take a drive from Brisbane to Gold Coast, or Gold Coast to Brisbane everyday like I do/have and I guarantee P plater's are the easily spotted ones doing stupid shit in traffic. Then we could always broach the subject of illegal modifications on vehicles and the rate of P platers who do these illegal mods, it's pretty easy to spot the P plater in the car that is 12mm off the ground, or 8" if it's a 4wd. See the thing with Open drivers is 99% of them grow up and mature, something you and the rest of your "kind" have yet to do. With this comes the realisation you don't have to be a dickhead to get from A to B, the 35 seconds you save from driving like a dickhead doesn't matter, and you would rather enjoy the car and the passion, rather than do something to impress the "scene". EXPERIENCE is what matters on the road, tell that to the P plater in the ditch Northbound at Springwood yesterday where the water was pooling on the road. Or the two dickhead P platers, one in a Civic, one in a Lancer who passed me on the Logan Hyperdome OFFRAMP doing an easy 160km/h last night racing, only to be nailed by the Coppers at the top of the hill. Form an argument that's worth arguing rather than a "woe is me" based opinion and then maybe, other people on here might actually listen to what you say and not palm you off as just another "p plating dickhead". As for my particular experience, yes I'm 32, no I don't know it all, but I've had my hand in just about every form of vehicular activity and usually on a competition level, research will do you good before taking petty shots at me. ![]() |

Surely we can agree that there are lots of stupid and dangerous drivers that are provisional and lots that are fully qualified aswell. Anyway, like I said I got sick of you on your high horse and you saying this thread is retarded ect (without actually going into detail) so I used you as an example to express (What I think) is a valid point. I certainly didn't expect you to take so much offense to it and call me a kunt. This thread was derailed on page 3 when it turned into a personal argument but we agreed to disagree and have since gained another 4 pages of very interesting opinions. |

I hope you realise the maturity and experience are synonymous with attitude. Because that's ultimately what he is getting at. The more you drive, the more experiences you're exposed to. Consequently, your attitude changes as a result of the experience. Experience is, and will always be a pre-cursor to attitude in many aspects, including driving. |

I don't get what you guys are referring to as experience? are you referring to the fact that if you have a close call you will see the error in your ways and slow down? or the commonsense to keep safe distances to people? the ability to catch a skid? what is it? because the way I see it, its not experience that makes the 30 something year old in our street that drifts his auto el falcon around the street in the wet, he does that coz hes a fuckwit. Edit: Ok im assuming you mean attitude changing if something bad happens, Yes this can happen for the better but its a shame the life-changing incident has to happen in the first place and will generally come down to somebody being a fuckwit on the road. I bet if I nearly had a head on or something I would take it a bit easier on the road so your right in this sense, but I also know people who do skids on the streets all the time, one of which has crashed his car on numerous occasions but refuses to learn. |

After 15 years of driving, chances are that he is less likely to fuck up while skidding the el coon bus because of years of experience and NOT going to do what most p platers do and crash into everything in sight. lol >Implying skidding is a skill the average 30 yr old should be good at. once again no one else is aloud to have an opinion on this site mr HSV so you gonna sit there and say that it basicly only p platers doing dumb stuff on the goldie to brissy every day. i drive that road every day and i can seriously say iv only seen a p plater doing dumb stuff once compared to what you see with tradies and other people. people in there 30s. now before you crap on that i must be a p plater im not but im sick to death of wanker know it alls like yourself slaggin them every chance you get. cus it aint all of them mate. i did my years on my ps. so when i was on my ps in your eyes i was dumb @#$!. because in my p plate years i only got defected not once fined and if you've lived in ACT before you would know thats not hard. so fucking ease up mr know it all even though you just said you dont know it all. you like to proclaim as a know it all keyboard worrier. and if you've got more experience how old where you when you first started driving??? Aww princess, did I hurt your feelings? If you drive that road everyday I do, and don't see the same shit that I see, then your ignorance is blinding you. Perhaps re-read my posts, take the time to actually UNDERSTAND what I said, and then re-read your post above and see how you have misconstrued practically everything I have said. As for the driving bit, I started driving when I was 12, I purchased my first vehicle for the princely sum of $50, a Valiant Ranger. I lived on one of the Bay Islands, my father taught me how to drive, my uncle taught me how to operate farm machinery and my fathers friend schooled me on earthmoving equipment. All before the age of 15. Nothing compared to when I got my license though and was let loose on the roads, I was still very inexperienced, and got myself into and out of some serious situations. Is there anything else you would like to know? |

Jesus christ dude, open your fucking eyes. Queensland is known for it's hooning problem compared to other states. I live in Melbourne. I kid you fucking not, everytime I drive from here to Chadstone (less than a 5minute drive away) I spot maybe 1-2 annoying older people who are sitting at 90 in an 80 zone. Who merge across 3 lanes without indicating, who decide to speed up for a yellow light and quite often get flashed as it turned red faster than they hoped. I see at least ONE of those examples from older drivers, EVERY time I get in the car. This however does NOT compare to the fact that I can't go to Chadstone or to my ex's house (lives 30minutes away from me) without seeing, on average, about 1 P plater every 5 minutes of driving, decide to fang past me at a retarded speed. They chirp their wheels in their shitty Commodores. They think their fucking N/A Civic with a body kit and stock wheels is suddenly a supercar. The other day I had a dickhead in a new Suzuki Alto.. Yes an Alto.. 1litre 3cylinder.. pull up next to me at a traffic light and shout out "sick sticker bro" (referring to my boostcruising.com sticker) Seconds before the light went green I heard him rev to maybe 5-6k and try drop it. The car chirped, jumped stalled.. I'm really glad that the undercover car sitting 2 cars behind me spotted it. It made me laugh and he would have been done for being a hard @#$!. Of course though, his punishment from the cops will also come with him telling his mates how some hard @#$! of a cop should be out catching robbers and rapists but instead they are doing him for dangerous driving etc etc. It's all about the mentality. I see many nice cars, especially on Sunday arvo drives. I will cruise next to them and have a brief chat a traffic light. At this point I might point out I am on my P's (nothing to do with bad driving history, it's a long story) but I am 24. I love cars and of course I would love a car with some balls. That doesn't mean I go "sick car bro" and try to drop the clutch on my 1993, 2.6l carby Magna. This is where the mentality and attitude comes into it. By 24, I have learnt to not be a dickhead on the road. Grow the fuck up, stop baiting the senior members on this site. You are a retard, not because you have a difference of opinion to HSV, but because... Wait for it... YOU'RE A FUCKING RETARD. lol >Implying skidding is a skill the average 30 yr old should be good at. CANT TELL IF TROLL I read his post over and over again. There was no implication that skidding is a skill the average 30 year old should be good at. I read an implication that someone who has been driving for 15 years would be more experienced to control his car in more situations, without any specifics given to WHAT the situations are. Sorry Khubner, I will leave the grown up talk to the section you can't see. Ahh Shane. Sitting here, drinking coffee, laughing like Dr. Hibbert from The Simpsons at the Khubner reference. |
