is this a bitch fight....300 is more than 200 so the 300Kw is the go

"if you drop a pebble and a screwed up bit of paper from a 20th level which 1 would land 1st??? the both would land at the same time ...
people dont be fooled coz it says turbo

it all comes down to how heavy each car is. power to weight ratio. a car with 200kw of power but weighs only 800kg (turbocharged starlet for example) would sh!t all over a 300kw v8 commodore or falcon or some crap that weighs 1400+ kg

there is no (well atleast none that i know of) new cars that you can buy that have the option for both these style of engines

making comparison impossible

well i got the 2.8L NA Golf over the 1.8L Turbo one and i had the choice of either. Much happier with the 128kw stock NA over a 110kw stock Turbo....

Having driven both. I'll say grunt (300 aspirated). Dunno why, I like the rumble and rawness of an NA engine, but the blower is due to be fitted to my XR8 so where do I fit in then? dunno.gif

Just a quick question (an innocent query so please no-one get offended)

How many have driven both 200KW turbo, (guessing more people) here vs 300kw aspirated (possibly less) dunno.gif ? Just interested to know

havent drriven a 300kw Holden, although i have driven Maserati's 290kw Grandsport - bordering on scary. Closest thing to a 200kw turbo is a modded rex about [email protected] different price ranges etc etc - but the 290kw N/a wins by far!

could just be the passion involed in driving an Italian supercar (i doubt it though)

300rw 6 non turbo would be nice.

Simple in this day and age sadly.
You can drive the turbo car like a granny and get 4 cylinder fuel economy.
No matter how gentle you drive the V8 its still using the juice.

I'd much rather have 2 cars in one. Nice and smooth and economical when you want, but give it a boot and its a beast.
To me (unless I win a lifetime supply of fuel) theres no decision to make.

300kW without a doubt. It would sounds alot better than a turbo 4 banger revving its ring out.

I prefer my flat four banger rumble to the new v8 sound... with the exception to the guy who drives past my shop everyday in his Spankin GT-P, this thing is on roids.

But... for me:

Half as many cylinders, 1/3 the engine capacity, and a smile twice as wide... rrrrmmm-pssshhh!!

200kW turbo car, i like how turbo's hold there power all the way through top end and don't just peak then drop dramatically.

a 300Kw atmo engine regardless of the type will have a more progressive torque curve than a 200Kw turbo engine rant2.gif YOU TOOL do you guys truley believe your own dribble ??????

Exactly mate.

V8s aren't that bad on the juice. Not as good as a Yaris or whatever, but no where near as bad, as people make them out to be.

Funny that one of the most economical cars in the world, is a 5.5L V8 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. wink.gif
