Something that sits flush with the guards.

So nothing tacky. The OEM rims are fine.

Check out rota wheels or get some genuine volks, buddy clubs, bbs, enkei.

In my opinion the stock ones are pretty good.. I'm not sure of evo stud patterns but also you could just put some evo 7,8,9 wheels ? I'm unsure I the stud pattern chnaged though.

Evo 6 rims should be 5x114.3, 17x8 +35

RPF1's or any of the Enkei race series are a nice lightweight choice, I've attached a few pics of a customers Evo with a set.
I have most of these in stock so PM me if you're after a set. These are also a fair bit cheaper than any of the Rays/SSR/Work wheels.

If I had an EVO it'd have Work XT7's. They look awesome when they are really concave.

What size tyres does he have on those wheels?

I ran the following on my old EVO 6.

R34 GTR wheels 18x9 +30 with 235/40/R18.
ROTA GRIDS (www.visionr.com.au) 18x9.5 +20 with 235/40/R18.

If you like Rota Grids, contact Wei @ VisionR. He's located in Perth WA.
I purchased the brand new Rota grids off him for $1,099 delivered to Brisbane.
As for R34 GTR wheels, I got them through Beau from Field-Garage Australia.

18x9 +30 235/40/R18 is best suited if you plan to take corners hard when the coilovers have been wound all the way down.
It won't scrub. Didn't scrub when I had my R34 GTR wheels on it.

-2 camber on front.
-2.8 camber on rear.

You may run into scrubbing issues if you lower it all the way like I have. I've shaved the rear flares a tad to accommodate the aggressive offset on the wheels.

Hope that helps.
