Don’t buy one and change the badges and it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t "look like a turbo " because the cops drive behind you run your plates a see that the car has a turbo and your fucked

I drove around in a turbo'd skyline for a little wile and didn't get caught BUT im not a power thirsty fuckin hoon!! (and i had no other car..) just wait until your opens. We don't need anymore restricting rules because little heavy footed p platers can't handle the jandle and ends up putting their car into a tree.

why o why do these p platers have to have the fastest most hectik cars, its only because youre not allowed one that you want one sooooo bad, you dont need a turbo or supercharger to fast, buy something like a vtec civic or 4age corolla and spend the money on suspension work and go to the track.

you will have more fun there than you will on the street, trust me

Not even worth the trouble, stick by the law and get something non-turbo until you can drive a turbo car. You'll just end up getting done for it sooner or later.

LC Torana, worked 202, run high 12's on the street, P plate legal and shit on everyone... well most people.
Fine for driving a "High powered" vehicle, 3 demerit points and a fine, can't remember what the fine was. But also consider that if you have an accident, say good bye to your insurance, wouldn't want to run up the back of a new merc ugh.gif "Was" thinking about supercharging my 202.......
However the supercharged V6 commodores go alright and you can barely tell their not just a stock 6, driven dad's a few times.....

mate got done 3 days after gettin his license car was impounded court date ended up bein $1,500 and 1 yr loss of license...his boss's car turns out he got the sack after his boss told him to drive it

I'm sorry, but someone who spells Volkswagen "vowlzwagen" shouldn't be allowed to drive one. NEVER.

As for the law, it's fucking ridonkulous. Those 90TSI Golfs are gutless as all hell, my TDI has more power than it, yet they are classed as a performance vehicle under the eyes of the local government. I can't drive my mum's Tiguan 125TSI because it's turbo, yet an XR6 is perfectly legal.

The maximum penalty is actually a $2000 fine and 3 demerit points, but obviously a fine of that size is only imposed in exceptional circumstances.

It is illegal for P Platers to own high performance vehicles and you may say "its to slow" about your current car but im sure it is able to do the legal speed limits.

However,

You can apply for an exemption if one of your parents own a high performance car (and no others) because it will be the only car available to you (good luck with that). You can also apply for an exemption if you bought a high performance car before June 30th 2007 and still currently own it today. This doesnt guarantee that you will be approved the exemption... but you can still apply for one

Mate if your going to get a turbo while your on p's go with the Diesel engine you cant get fuckd over.
Dont risk it police arnt that stupid Golf GTI even they no its turbo no point even if u debadge the fk down. If i were you wouldn't bother with turbos till your open license get something nice now sell it when you got your opens and have fun later smile.gif

Na manz, GTI and normal 1.6L NA Golfs look identical, only difference is the badge. Just debadge the GTI and drive it around, you wont get caught
