well i have just scored my self a nice vr v6 engine, and i know wat u are all going to say BOGAN tongue.gif rofl anyway its doing a mild amount of power of 230 hp in the car (vr exec) at the wheels and its naturally asp as well, now whati want to know is

1. if i whack a vortec blower on the thing can i get a boost controler for the thing kauze 8psi just isnt enuff psi for me , i know u can run about 14 psi so i want to know if u can get a controler, this engine is mint cond to.

bored out 30 thou different crank cams pistons and ported by the best dude i know who does alot of drag car engines as well. so yea

its going to be a sleeper of a car wen im fininsd look low, dragin teh ass on the ground and be a weapon under the hood.

I'm pretty sure you won't be running 14psi out of a blower for long, especially on an engine built to make power naturally aspirated, the compression ratio is going to be too high.

/me bows as a sign of restecpa

Anyways back onto topic, Resin is right - Ur gunna need to decompress the motherforka out of it (shimmed head, i believe that different pistons would be needed as well as some pretty serious internal updating) Oh yeah and looks like you will always be within a tanks range of a servo that sells 98 RON cause otherwise that bitch is gunna ping like a motherfuck...

Anyways good luck, keep us up with your progress

what are you trying to say?

i have never seen a supercharger that can change boost pressure via a switch. a blower is engine driven via a belt. the only (correct me if i am wrong) way you can change pressure is by putting on different pully sizes. eg. smaller more boost, bigger less boost.

Why not look at getting the buick V6 turboed engine imported? Or at least some go fast bits off them? (buick V6 being the holden V6) Just an idea.

I have a sneaky suspicion you can change blower boost by bleeding air from the intake, I could be wrong on that though. That only works to lower the boost as well, so whatever the pulley sizes are at (remember, pulley size * pulley rpm = pulley2 size * pulley2rpm) is gonna be your "max" boost.

I know for sure you can run a clutch supercharger which works like an A/C unit (eg: a button engages a clutch so you can run without boost if you prefer)

Either way, a high comp NA engine wont last long with a supercharger. And what a waste of time anyway, its a v6. Unless you start running some high boost through a turbo or two, its never gonna make serious power.

dude 14psi on a blower is like running 24odd psi on turbo

fuck thats heaps a psi then fiddy, bot hows that work ? if 1 psi = 1psi how can 14 psi = 24 psi ???
