Nothing is recorded, it's just to ensure drivers have a valid license and cars are roadworthy!

would anyone object to having a number painted on their car, like at the drags with white shoe polish or whatever! or shall i just make lil entrant number cards to be displayed!

I would much prefer something like a sticker on the window over shoe polish.

I've reorganised everything on that day for myself and will hopefully make it there around 11:30-12:15.

If need be I can laminate a whole bunch of No. at work on just white paper about .... half an A4 x about 60??

to display on the dash maybe

Yeah i'll have a video camera and camera... i need to find someone interessted in darting ahead of the cruise at stages to get the whole group coming through... and then when they have come past run ahead via various shortcuts to the next stage ie, one on mitchell st and then again in Nightcliff or sooner, and then again on Vanderlin... or something like that!

If someone is in a car that isn't really cruise material, but wants to take part, i will lend them my video camera so they can film the whole group! or if someone has a car that is cruise material but is happy to get ahead and wave us by, that would be cool to!

My wife can do videoing and she will be in my work car....it would have otherwise gone in the cruise but its a bit plain...a standard unmarked commodore V6 executive is a bit blah considering the company it will be in, so I will get her to head up the video crew if you like...get one or 2 other people and they can 'leap frog' to various vantage points and that way no one will have to exceed the speed limit to get ahead of us....(sorry, it goes with the job! cool.gif )

Hey Fake, more than likely get the bosses GT-P down there tomorrow for the photo shoot and my 180 if i can manage to get it there. Who would be up for cruising the streets on Friday and Saturday nights (if need be) to promote the cruise abit more to the local cruise/hang out spots in Darwin on these hot and steamy nights. Spoke to Fake about it he says good idea, so maybe a whole heap of us get together somewhere on Friday night and drop by all the spots, bit of word of mouth.

What do ya think?

I can bring a red SV8 down for the photoshoot if needed (see pics in the other thread). Best to take pics in shade or near dusk.

The black SS was a vehicle loaded to us by Holden for the Public Safety Expo. We only had it for 3 months. Try as I might I couldnt convince them to make all police cars black (darn) cause it looked awesome, nor was I able to get Holden to donate it to Beat the Heat so I could set it up as The Heats 'evil' twin....

People would be surprised how much interest there was in it as a black police car...
