Well tonite to aviod the apparent cop crack down, we went for a ride around the city. It was cool as, I would highy recomend it. You get to see more people, have a good gander etc (if you get my drift  ). And generally get/stay fit. Only prob is, there are also cops on bikes, and well as we got out of the car we saw them.

You are totally letting police dictate your agenda when you havent even done anything wrong. Unless of course you really felt like taking the pushies out - that would be good. But if you did it because you felt 'forced' to because of police pressure... thats bad.

Well to be honist we did it for something different, and because we are getting sick of being moved on every 5mins. But it was good, we did see more people, and we still went for a bit of a drive. But the thing that got me is, we actually saw more cops than I think anyone else last night.

I think not? I got done for running a red light and he did the bike equivelent of a defect for a bald rear tire (heh) and a caution for things like bull-horn bar ends etc but never even mentioned bell.

i think you can get done for DUI on a pushie......but im most likely wrong.

I fairly impressed by my speed record on my pushie. Ridin down logan road on the way home from maccas one night, i woulda prolly got upto about 80 because i was overtakin cars, I also started about 50 metres behind my mates and by the bottor i was about 50-75 metres infront of them. biggrin.gif i was impressed

Note: this was done on a shitbox bike with brakes the barely slowed you down and a back wheel with a major buckle which makes you very unstable at speeds above about 30kmh laugh.gif

DUI on pretty much any vehicle...

Bikes, skateboards, motorised scooters, non-motorised scooters...

could you get your pushie confiscated for street racing or laying skids under these new hoon laws

The law states something along the lines of "Operation of a vehicle while intoxicated" which means you can get screwed over for pretty much anything.

I wonder if that means that if your wearing shoes you can get DUI but if your bear footed your fine....

Anyone ever tried designing a bike made for burnouts? maybe some training wheels would help lift you off the ground a bit...

Anyone tried doing to quarter on a pushie at a street meet?

we went for a ride on our pushy's on sunday, had some phat races from the lights with cars and we actually won a few races, yes you can get done dui (shouldn't it be "RUI" riding under the influence) on a pushy, you can also get done for speeding the speed limit is the same as for cars, dun no bout that bell on your pushy thing i have a copy of all the traffic / pushy laws on my computer somewhere couldn't be bothered looking it up tho

i can't think of any way i coul;d cause excessive noise / smoke on my pushy, cuz i would be proud of that fine if i got it for my pushy

Yes we are going to try and get done for street racing on the pushies.

We never drink then ride.

And we do want to take the pushies down the 1/4.

Hope that answers your questions. biggrin.gif

If I had bear feet, the last thing I'd be worried about was DUI... I'd be more worried about beastiality charges.
