Just wondering if it's worth supercharging a V8, and would you get much of a power increase from it? It's a HSV GTO -------------------- Red goes fast.
Black goes the fastest. |

i would personally twin turbo it and considering the cost of this car it would probley be in the budget. my therory is supercharger is too boring and isnt really adjustable ie. its a bitch to change boost!! |
Dont go twincharging, the computer to run it costs about $20-25 000, just isnt cost effective.
|

Dude ill get ya a number for Colin Loyde, owner of headsence, talk to him he knows fuckin shit loads more than what i do , and he builds performance cars. To be honest, i would supacharge it, 1 its more direct and, its instant, with no lag like turbos get, but that come down to preferance |

Turbos wont have "lag" on a V8, damn things will be almost on boost just at idle. |

... You can also get a clutch on the superchargers that works like an A/C clutch (eg: flick a button, you get boost) |

But then whats the point of that if we already decided twin turboes are better... |

I say turbos are better, but its always good to compare the good and bad points of the two sides of any arguement. |
