its abit hard to check when my car is 600 klms away , hang on mate ill just walk outside and have alook ay .... As others and myself have said, there is no code for an intercooler. Check what they are actually mod plating, if anything it may be the structural change to the car if you had to cut some 3" holes or so for the piping to feed through. |

Mod plates are pretty much just a register that the job has been done and passed at that point in time, much like a roadworthy. |

Hmm i was told by a copper if i had cut into the car to fit my FMIC they could take it off the road. ok lets clear up this cutting holes for cooler piping if the hole is less than 100mm than it is fine (providing its not cut through the chassie rail) if the hole is over 100mm than it need reinforcing if u have to cut the metal bumper reo than thats illegal straight away as for mod plates when u get a mod plate u get a dot approved bit of paper with what has been done and what the engineer has approved YOU ARE TO KEEP THIS COPY IN THE CAR AT ALL TIMES BUY LAW (i suggest getting the copy laminated so it wont get damaged) so if a copper disputes it you have the paper work to prove it and not just a blue plate on the firewall |

yer the cops here are fuked, the intercooler is behind the front support panel , and then the radiator has been moved back , unless thats wat the mod plate is for , but millenium motorsport did the mod plate for the car .. How long ago did Carlos do this mod plate? Did you get him to do it for you or did the previous owner get him to do it for him? Maybe he changed things after the mod plate has been issued out? |

I instigated this with our engineer as heel toeing in any manual Holden is an issue but it possible. For track days Ive made a small block which I can bolt to the accelerator pedal which makes it a bit easier for heel toe but is removed if driving on the street. |

Close door. ![]() that sounds too hard ![]() why open the door at all....clime out the window?? ![]() i like my cops drive through style, thats when you stay in the car and they come to you.... i'll tell you what though, the man who puts a drive through window at their local donut kings going to be on a winner ![]() |

hahahaa yerop cops can certainly do it , they got me for fmic , tyre sizes and not having a tyre placard in my Fc Rx7 ... considerin it as all mod plated ... lol. its abit hard to check when my car is 600 klms away , hang on mate ill just walk outside and have alook ay .... Start walking, it'll be worth it. Mod plates are pretty much just a register that the job has been done and passed at that point in time, much like a roadworthy. Ding ding. This is the key ladies and gentleman...and young kids. Once again, it confirms that at the time it is legal, but there's nothing stopping you from then making changes, hence the reason police can still issue a defect if they believe it fails to comply with the relevant legislation and regulations. Now, if it still is legal, you shouldn't have any problem presenting it at the Pits and having it cleared and the infringement dropped. ROCK ON R~R |

i don't know much bout the whole front mount intercooler thing.... but... wouldnt the mod plate to do with the intercooler be to do with emissions control??? and wen u change the standard intercooler u would kinda need the mod plate to say that now that its change still complies with the emissions thingo??? like plumb back bov's and the likes??? |
