Nope, I'm with mazdaguy. The majority of the crap that was given here was directly as a result of failing to produce legitimate information that made it clear it was a real sanctioned event, a flier that seemed to imply it wasn't sanctioned with "no refunds if the pigs turn up" (regardless of it being the official one or not), the fact its name is based off a FnF event name, and most of all, the bogan posts by hecticnashy (or his 'friend'). Then there's the final fact that most people posting threads were nobodies.

And to be honest, Steve and Toombul had the same problems causing similar issues. There were a few things that could have been better done from the start for initial advertising, but his reputation on the forum better enhanced the legitimacy of the event, rather than being a new kid who looks like he's just organising burnouts in an industrial estate.

And if they plan on doing this every weekend, they better get themselves an ABN quick smart, otherwise the ATO is going to be their new best friend.

And I couldn't care whether the flier was legitimate or not, if it was the only one that could find its way into the thread, then you've got a serious advertising problem. Heck I saw Dale on it before I saw the 'genuine' version.

And that's what my whole point was and still is - the failure to properly advertise this, not rely on some mates mates who don't know how to spell and go off the chain when someone says something they don't like.

That's my point there wasn't any advertising. The guys organizing this had less than fifty posts on their accounts, they had no credibility. People needed some proof that this wasn't going to be one gigantic waste of time. And now we have that proof

As for your comment about IQ, would you send all your bank account details to the Nigerian bloke? Hell no. You have no proof that he is the third king of the last daughter of a gold millionaire who wants to give you all his money. Its the internet everyone is skeptical.

this thing was mad as exept for the v6 commodores. the funniest thing was a bluebird did a better skid then a vn with no bonnet and a vp wagon that did skids before him it was funny. from what i remember we had a seized motor( i think) 2 blown tyres and plenty of close calls to the side walls. it was a good night cant wait for tonight

That's my point exactly mate, over 50% of hoon cars have some form of defect. If anyone has doubts about their car just be carefull is all I am saying. I learnt the hard way years ago and spent alot of years paying fines lol. Police dont mind car shows but when they involve burnouts and a bunch of guys with adrenalin pumping you can almost guarentee they will be waiting for what they call hoons to be leaving at the end of the night. Theres always the odd idot who wont pay $15 to do it legally and isntead do it at the corner when they leave as I seen happen numerous times last night. there is some things on my car that might be illegal to some cops and not to others so how do i know how am i meant to know so if they just left it alone it would be good

what i dont get is the cops and public winge when we do this shit on the streets but when some one puts the effort and time in to making it a legal event so we can keep out of trouble they have to ruin it by geting people when they leave .

who cares if the cops are hanging around the area to make sure no one skids on the streets they just shouldnt set up defect stations thats just a dog act most people are trying to do the right thing by going to these legal events

my lil bro went last nyte... said ti was sick... gunna try and hit ti up tonite... a lil pricey but it keeps the coppers away for a lil while... but a few of my mates got done and tryed to get defected after they elft last nbyte... so just be careful and smart when u leave on the highway and bak streets... cuz they follow in d cars last nyte to pinkenba afterwoods as well... as far as im concerned... be stoopid get done... be smart u got a chance to walk away.....

hey guys, i was there for sat night was real good heaps of skids a real good turn out for the first night, yeah when you leave the place just take it easy cause the cops will want you to do a skid, i will be there again tonight for sure.

OT:- Good on the people behind this for stepping up and doing the hard yards. Hopefully they can work with police to help make sure the event stays around for a while longer. As someone said, there are already idiots out to ruin it by skidding on the streets around the event afterward.

At what point do the organisers decide the event has too many people in attendance? Obviously there has to be some point where overcrowding will become a safety issue.

I would imagine that they have gone through all these situations during the planning of the events, but will there be a numbers cap? 200 cars? etc

i also asked the cops about parking outside the venue and they said as long as your not parked on the grass or in driveways outside they wont give you a ticket
