you can pick up a 2nd hand motor these days for about $150 (or a whole car for 250-300) so if you can get a set of heads and a vrs kit plus machining for less than do it that way but have a look on ebay and you should find a decent one on there or head down to self serve wreckers at darra mick

^^ what they said, milky oil means that somewhere water is mixing with it, could be heaps of places, best to source out a nice 2nd hand one

well i talked to my mechanic he said its a cracked or split head....he said it might b the gasket but hes not 100% sure unless he took the manifold off wich we are doin this weekend.....

The inlet manifold gaskets are also common for leaking, allowing water to drain down into the cam valley. This is the most likely problem if the engine is drinking that much water because if it was the head gasket, it would have hydrolocked the engine by now wink.gif

Replace the thermostat while the intake manifold is off, pain in the freaking ass to replace with the inlet manifold fitted. Save you hassles in the long run with a new gasket

like i told you young lad. would be the gasket..its common if the car has sat for a while. they are a rubber gasket surrounded in a plastic material. so the go hard and crack.. a days work we can fix her.

Kerosene = no more milky oil. Diesel also works.

soo what do i flush kero down threw my engine n let it run out the sump??? :S....dosnt sound right to me

pipster11

yup
then throw some fresh oil down it while the sump plug is still out to flush the last of the kero out and filler up

Talk to a few engine builders, they will tell you the same thing wink.gif

Not as silly as it sounds, kero is a good lubricant as well and it does come from oil wink.gif

It also works better if the rocker covers are off so you can pour kero through the heads and oil drains. If you put a bucket under the sump drain, you can use the same kero a few times to get all traces of milk from the engine wink.gif
