i doubt you would see it out and about. These guys are proffesionals if they got thru the good factory secuirity, and if thats true, then they drove it straight to a secret location, shut the garage door to never be seen again. I hear thats what they do
I even hear they strip it and then cut it up in small peices and dispose of it in the wheelie bin.

It's a growing problem in the U.S. helped along by new self diagnostic systems, computer experts and lap tops. A hand held machine about the size of a supermarket check-out atm and the PUK code is all they need and off they go. Done in a matter of seconds.

I hope you do get it back tho and I really hope it was insured. Still Holden deserve some blame as they refuse to make Holden Assist available for utes why I will never know angry.gif

even though im fords still its fucking wrong to steal cars! My bor in law had his VU ss Stolen they found it stripped in the bushland all that was left was the block and a shell! c***s! will kepp EYEz out for it unsure.gif

Thanks for the sentiments everyone. Posts have gone up on several forums as have sms's, emails and phonecalls all over the place.

The police said i have a 95% chance of recovery but I'm not that positive nor do I want to think about the state the ute will be if/when it gets returned.

I think I'll be better off if they find it burnt down with a couple of skeletons in it.

It's fully covered by insurance for theft etc so I'll end up with a replacement (hopefully a aseries 2).

It's a waiting game now and a time for me to tryn and think nice thoughts:
Calm Blue Ocean....floating corpses of car thieves etc etc.

If they do get caught and convicted they are fucked because they will be nailed for break and enter, unlawfull use of a motor vehicle and Fraud since they tried to use my CC's wink.gif

The police said they'd love to catch the guys....but not as much as most of the people I've talked to.
If the wankers brag about this anywhere they are likely to end up as big, lumpy puddles of blood and plasma smile.gif

Thats seriously f%cked up. Sucks how these wankers dont give a damn about the sentimental value of others possessions, it was prolly ur pride and joy. I'm goin 2 b in Sydney this w/end so I'll l@@k out there 2.
My VR (advertised) got stolen and when cops contacted me, they said I prob wouldn't want it back.... It was damaged and I started fixing it up, but the tranny was rapped out 2 the max and the ignition is f@#ked...

Good luck finding it, and I hope the assholes who took it treat it better than than ones who took mine..!

i have heard similar stories from other ppl using reprogramed ECU's

uplug the old , plug in hax0rd' - drive away

most of the cars either end up rebirth'd or sold as parts "normaly the positive in the case as u get new car with insurance + getting it back after being stolen makes the car feel dirty sad.gif

hey frizz. have a good looka round your local area

friend of mine had there lazer stolen . it was missing for a weekn . and they found it 2 streets * or blocks * away,

the person had stolen it for the battery cause his went flat. but they found out it was the altinator so left it on the side fo the road

Now to look at the positive side you might get a updated new for old replacement biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

At least youve got insurance to cover for theft and things shoudl turn out good, but as previously said it would feel funny to be in the ute again with *their* touch if they recovered it.

Just out of curiosty did they steal your keys at all because as previosuly discussed the standard security systems of today are pretty damn tough to get by without the key. I work in the EFI parts industry and trust me if they didn't have the key then they would have to be damn professionals, to b able to take such a new commodore without the key you would be needing some pretty damn high tech gear. Equipment to get past the security would cost a fortune, im talking thousands easy here... Only really big computer re-manufactors and dealers have access to gear closely related to stuff like this. Put it this way, when we send an ECU away for testing in most late model cars now we need to have the ecu, key transponder and key for the company to be able to get past the security, and this would be one of the largest computer manufactors in Australia.

Good luck to your mate, I really feel for you loosing your car, especially when you have obviously given a bit of a personal touch sad.gif

its a good idea, when buying new cars these days, to not only rely on your car's own factory seciurity system, but to install something else as well.
What I did on my last one was not only have a alarm with a standard imobilizer, but also wire in another relay off it to cut the crank angle sensor wiring, with the switch in a realy well hidden spot.

then they HAVE to find that switch, or untangel the non factory wiring (takes a good hour or so) AND have the mega tricky factory code decifier.

and a club lock also helps:)
