hay guys i got a worked EFI 250 crossflow with standerd ECU and was woundering would i be better off changing it to a carby and if i do this will it run ok on dual fule. i need it to be on dual fule couse im putting the engine in my landcruiser and dont want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere couse ive run outa gas.

what sort of carby would i use? 600 holley.

OR

would i be better off leaving it EFI and puting a better ecu on it if so what older modle ECU would run it as im on a tight budget. would it run better on dule fule if i leave it EFI.

any info would be grate. thanks

a 2 barrel 350 or 500cfm would be sufficient for this type of job id thought. Just remember a side hung float carb wont like idling for long if you have the vehicle on extreme side angles like rock crawling and such.
cheapest efi option would be to look at any fuel only units or even the megasuirt kits if your handy.

Read my for sale thread buddy, its one of the better setups ive seen built with a 250 crossflow.

Dont go a 2 barrel carb - go a four barrel like a 465 or 570 street avenger holley. Better fuel economy and power delivery, plus the aftermakert manifolds available for the 4 barrels are MUCH better.

With EFI the computer hits its limits fairly quickly, plus it is a really over complicated setup, where when one sensor fails it effs up the whole thing.

Again, have a read of the setup on my XB that is for sale - works a treat :-)
