"In light of the horror unfolding in victoria as I type I am proposing cruise to raise funds to help the poor buggas left behind to deal with the fallout. A cruise will take place on Sunday the 22nd of Feb. Staging point will be at Swifts Rugbly League Club carpark at Yamanto, Qld. Departure time will be 8.30AM sharp. Cruise duration will be advertised when I get some feed back as to how long you guys wish to drive for. There will be a food vendor at the cruise destination and i will be hitting him up for a dontation of some of his profit garnered by our presence. Cruise donation of 10 dollars per car will be the price and if any members have contacts a couple of worthwhile raffle prizes wouldnt go astray. Any further donations will be gratefull accepted. Funds will go to the red cross bushfire appeal Line up you plebs. lets help where we can. Inappropriate behaviour will NOT be tolerated, and we will have NO hesitations in reporting you straight to the police. " I'll post more details and keep this first post up to date when more info comes to hand on the cruise. The club also will be taking on donations for those that can not make it. I'll provide the bank details shortly for this. CRUISE DETAILS - Date: Sunday, 22nd of Feb, 2009. Meet at: Swifts Rugbly League Club at Yamanto from 8:00am. Depart: 8:30am Route: From Yamanto to Rosewood.. has a crappy road but not long Rosewood to Warril View via Mt Walker... Then from Warril View to Aratula... and then onto the Cunningham Highway. From Aratula and finishing up at Lake Moogerah. has some nice road out along that way. There will be a food vendor on site at the final destination . There will also be raffles to help further raise money from prizes given to the SAU Car Club from the club sponsors and also the ability to give further donations, etc. >>PRIZES TO BE RAFFLED OFF Bring swimwear for those want to cool off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SOUTHSIDE MEET I've decided to organise a southside meet to better help guide everyone out to Yamanto and to have a group turn up to the destination. Could be keen for this, sounds like a good cause and would be nice to raise a bit of cash for those who were unfortunate to be in the bush fires. |

You have no idea how bad it is. Im currently about 5 mins from 1 section of the fire, but my mate is doing 14-16 hour days to contain the fire and says he will be working 10 days on and 1 day off for the next 3 months...... Its a weapon of mass destruction .
