Hello, my mx-5 is mostly used on the streets but on the occational track both grip and drift driving plus some gymkhana. What should I get, a 1,5 way or a 2 way?

2 WAY way will lock on decelaration aswell, if you plan to slide it, grab one of those

Thats really hard to say. What do you find annoying (how long is a piece of string)

A 2 way is what I prefer as it acts the same during decel and accel. It does depend on how tight the diff is shimmed as well. My 2 way is pretty tight and somewhat clunky/chirpy but thats the way I like it.

too be honest mate i've used all off the different types and havn't noticed a real difference. tried 1way, 1.5way and 2ways all drifting.

a 1 way lsd will only lock on accelleration and unlock on decelleration.
a 2 way will lock on accelleration and decelleration.
a 1.5 will lock on acceleration, and only partially on decceleration. (behaves as a compromise between a 1 way and 2 way)

the locking characteristics will differ depending on how they are set up.
a 1.5 way will be safer on the street though.
if you get a 2 way it will take time to get used to and it is harder to pull your car out of a spin if you are inexperienced.
