Hey dude, i would love to make it a dett, but it simply not possible, the only reason it has a full set of custom headers was to make them fit inbetween the chassis rails, there is simply no room, super charger on the otherhand is definately on the cards for hopefully early next year.

Cool, that seams to be the trend with alot of Lexus V8s getting supercharged and slipped into IS200-300s.

Good luck with the project thumbsup.gif , very original and smart, not like some small cars with masive engines that can't turn or stop wink.gif

If i had a NA skyline and seeing as i really like 8's i would thorw in an 8 too and charge it. I say good on him can wait till he puts the charger on.

Only just noticed ur were posting in here, good to see your doing something different, hope its a good project for you and you can show up some of the turbos

those infinity v8 go realy well with twin turbo stock internals and standard auto japs used it in there lemans car tuned right they pushed nearly 1500hp and ran the car for around twenty four hours flat strap and the only thing they broke was two spark plugs and an engine mount ohmy.gif thumbsup.gif

Absolutely awesome! I was just joking with a few mates the other day, instead of doing THAT RB conversion a 1uz toyota V8 woulda been fantabolous!

Dont know ne adam, SPL Pulsar where do u see it? u live near me?

Hopefully if a catch up with uni ill be able to get out to willowbank next wedensday. Ive still got the nitrous kit at home waiting to go back on but ill just run it with out it for a while i would say the engine has sat in a stock yard of some sort for months, the half cut was covered in crap.

NA_R33
Post #98

ummmm, for those that are saying that my parents payed for it all because im 18, im sorry but ur definately wrong, there is no way my dad would fund a project like this as he thinks im gonna kill myself. I finished school last year and started working as an apprentice mechanic at Gilmour Developments full time and saved everything i earnt to do the conversion, i borrowed some money from the bank and am now paying it off. I was just fortunate enough to be good friends with a very talented mechanic who helped me do the conversion and would take no money for it all up it cost a little more then an rb25det half cut.

Top marks for originality and not following the herd like mindless sheep!

would wanna be quick though.
nothin like a big dollar conversion just for looks huh.gif

I saw it last night. Well done John, very neat job, sounds the goods too. Obviously no times on it yet, but I did hear you beat Adrian's R33 GTST last night and he ran flat 14s at Wednesdays T'n'T last week. That should give you an idea of what it should run if everything goes right.

Nice Work thumbsup.gif

Had it on a dyno today, pulled 233.6rwhp which i didnt think was to shaby for a stocko engine with extractors..
