what do you wanna get for $3000? what do you need? will you need to get it installed or can you do that urself?

Ok go thing to do is have a think of what you need in ur system.

Headunit
Front splits
Amp(s)
Sub(s)
Box and install

So basically depending on how much of a custom install you want with that budget you will have to sacrifice the quality of your speakers. But have a long look around and make sure you buy right he first time. Lot cheaper this way. If you need to say up a little more then make sure you do. Don't skimp out thinking you'll be fine with a model down or something. Get what you truely want first!!

one amp for each sub (3 amps 3 subs) and an amp for the splits

dude if u seriously had 2 ask this question then go and do some major looking round b 4 u go and hand that cash over. cos if u dont the salesmen will c u coming 4 blocks away and u will end up with 1500 dollars worth fo gear for a 3000 outlay...

im not going to add my input, it would be considered wrong by my reputation.
But let me just say, some of the things posted here are absolute crap.

Ignoring brand names can do amazing things, mate of mine who is in an extremly popular car mag in australia did a blind test, the results were something eh couldnt beleive, but your ears dont lie!!!

i might even consider that system that "NISMOgemini" is buy have to go done to brisbane car sound, auto ban and JB high fi and see wat they got and wat there best offer is

Im personally going for the explode, but its more for show than anything. yea that sounds stupid, but wait till u guys see what I have planned, hopefully ill get some CG pics up soon, im still working on the shading, got the wireframe done alright. but yea, if u really want the quality, id sugest the pioneer lol

i think its been made pretty clear in this thread that sony is shit.

it always will be, unless they get their act together.

as for the person who said their decks are ok.. the number of decks that come back with FM tunning issues is astounding... if they had any clue with the quality control there would be no problems at all... i mean if panasonic can manage to sell CD players and not have one single one come back then i am sure that says alot for sony who are meant to be a dedicated audio company....

Just keep an eye out at the next time nothrfield moorooka has a sound off... we are having a compentition to see who can throw a sony sub the furtherest... smile.gif will be good fun...

go to some audio shops, ask them, they r they experts.

tell them ur budget, what u want and they will give u what they think is the best.

yeap yeap, had a look at the sony rang and yeah they arnt crisp at when high

so that was a major turn off

my bro has got kennword system in his vn comodore and it puts out good and but very cheap so if u gonna buy something cheap buy kenword

i am gonna go for that alpine system

the only good sony gear for car audio is their ES series amps... but we cant get them in australia,
and if anyone has anything bad to say about these.. id like to hear it
