My guess, probably because no one was there early enough, they missed about 100 or so cars that were there prior to 1pm.

I think this was the case, when I got there no1 was taking donations and it was hard to find where to pay as organisers weren't obvious (perhaps shirts for organisers next time?) I ended up walking back to the entrance eventually and by then they were taking payments so put my money in.

I'm not complaining, but I do agree it was badly organised, should have had another entry open, Toilets, More shade or a place with more shade and more food & Drinks available.

Was there for 10 minutes and bailed.

Thats what most people have been saying, I left pretty much after 30mins of standing in the heat with no place in the showground to buy a drink!!!

another thing people should take into account was the fact that the showgrounds were under construction and one of the entrances was blocked off.

hmm.. also another thing.. next time. Give out receipts any donation over $2 is a tax deductible amount and in these times of being tight asses that would have been handy too tongue.gif

wasn't a dig that you guys were being dodgy with money, but more a point that unfortunately a lot got missed due to the gates being disorganised at the start.

was a good day. didnt make it to the boondal meet, due to traffic on the gateway and once we saw a few car we turned around. When we got there everyone was in the wrong entrance. so we lined up again and went in. Was a bit disapointed about the toilets and drink. we lined up fro 30 minutes to get drink and was told they had run out. went down the shop and got hit up about the $10 again and when we said we had paid already and we didnt have any more cash on us from buying the corner shop out of water, we were called @#$!s because we didnt pay again, so i wasnt impressed with that. but all in all it was good to raise some money....

Maybe parklands would be better for the next one. i know it is more gold coast then in the middle, but it is a bit bigger??

the cruise was set to leave to early.....

11am leave at boondall (for the brisbane people) and it only takes an hour to get there so we were all there by 12........

missing 2- 300 cars comes down to poor planning........

plus there was no set guy from hardtuned.net at the cruise to say, hay guys this is the route we are taking and no one to lead as most people left boondall in drips and drabs....

a lot of cars did turn up tho....... but most left an hour after as there was nothing to do and people hate car park standing round sessions...

oh and the entry drive way was smashing just bout every car on the way in and out.

hopefully all the feed back from ppl can be taken into account for next years xmas cruise/show n shine. thumbsup.gif
