i think the point everybody is missing is that there has to be a happy medium between the police and the "hoons"....whilst the "hoons" should apprecaite that they are breaking the law and that the police have the right to enofrce the law...the police also have to apprecaite that for many car enthusiasts there simply isn't enough facilities for them to enjoy their vehicles in a controlled environment and also acknowledge that "hoons" aren't the only non-law abiding citizens out there and the deserve as much lenience as the next group. |

but doesnt taking people's assets merely re-enfroce the cycle of criminal activity??? take away a person's car..what is there to stop that person stealing another or inciting criminal activity to get the funds to buy another. i know i'm grasping at straws but i don't see what the benefit is to anybody to take people's possessions. I think if they take a house they should have to take the mortgage with it! |

as much as i agree, its never going to happen EG: they build a strip and pad, just like they did a skate park for the boarders its free to use rock up when ever race ur mates say someone crashes, the proper drag strips we have, have abulance, firetrucks towtrucks track marshells on site during each event, to make it safe, so when billy is doing his skid and loses it and hits bob, and kills him, and they dont have someone on duty, (insurance) big shit fight, i know u can kill ur self skateboarding but not as common do you guys get my point? |

you do realise *racing* to the speed limit , is still an offence? its called *time trialling* and so far ive had atleast 30 cars impounded for that reason. *racing* of anysort..............EVEN rapid acceleration is against the law........all up to officer discrecion *spelling*. |

why dont u go talk to them then tell them to stop it to do something about it makeit legal make it so we have a place to go and hangout and do "stupid shit". the problem is ppl complain about getting fines and getting cars taken away if i get done i get done i dont go around complaining about it.. As my mum always says to me and i follow it to: "U take risks if u get hurt or caught in taking the risks, its ur fault and no one elses u cant blame other ppl for ur mistakes" |

summoner even if we did have a street strip people would still rip up and race. next time you go to the plex have a look at the number of skids on ankatell road. and everyone coming out of there heading north hammers along the freeway. people like to blast on the street and thats all there is to it. it cant be stopped, theres simply not enough resources, no amount of raids or anything like that is going to have any serious impact. if you break the law and get caught, dont whinge. |

I didnt see many clowns at parklands the other week at the LEGAL burnout comp,actually over the yrs in all the burnout comps i went in and won a fair few of there was very little guys who could back up what they say in a ciomp and not many of them were even seen on the days these legal comps were held.RACELINE ian can back that claim up. |

I couldn't agree with you more. They knew it was illegal and they got caught fair and square! Only problem is 40km west at Penrith they were running amuck at Macas. Do the crime, do the time! You would have to be a complete fool to do anything stupid on the roads in N.S.W. with the new law the police have to suspend your licence on the spot and then you can lose it for a year just because they think you are reckless or careless. I wouldn't be suprised if it was this law they used to suspend a few licences that was reported in the news. No sympathy for idiots and fools, a drivers licence is a priveiledge, not a right! I hope they all lost that priveiledge! |

er i dont see how having a licence is a 'priverlage; if u work and pay rego :/ , your paying for the rds, and own ur car. if hold a licence it should be a ' right' (dosnt mean authority see it that way of course, but hey thats BIG BROTHER) |

mate i am with you about the drag strip... and yes they where doign there jobs... at the same time as they directed all those police resourses there where much more dangerous criminals out there As for the we are all criminals mate speak for your self you dont know me. I have had my car confiscated as everyone knows but i am not a drug dealer, rapist, murderer, car thief, and i still stand buy what i have said all along I DID NOTHING WRONG BUT BE IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME the problem is the cops cant see the difference between strret racing and meeting i have been at locations where there have been ppl doing burnouts and the cops come down on everyone who has a modified car whether they are the ones racing or not i cant control how you drive or the next guy i am in control of my car and my car alone let the cops catch someone doing a burn out or racing then fine take there car but to block the roads and get everyone who is within the area oneway or another is just garbage go ahead flame me but there is no one who would be happy to lose there car cause they where at bwcp and someother wanker did a burnout |

that is a joke really! rapid acceleration like unless your breaking traction or jumping all over the road, that is the most unfair rule ever! like seriously anyways they were in the wrong but damn what a waste of money. sif police don't drive like retards anyway. and using a helicopter, now that could have been spent on something more worthwhile. |

Whether its fair or not, if people are breaking the law cops are just doing their job by trying to enforce it. The drivers have just been at the dragstrip all night, they should be taking their cars on the strip rather than trying to "recreate" what they have just been watching. S |
