QUOTE(revnit @ May 11 2008, 07:37 AM) talking about a blitz i work at rivera at coomera last Thursday cops decided to do so called random breath tests nothing random about blocking off both roads!!! leading to my work place with speed camera, breath tests and car checks at 5:30am in the morning i got though no worries but i think it was over the top. my mate was in his mums stock commodore he got pulled over and defected for a empty wiper/washer bottle which is a roadworthy item dont get me wrong but a little over the top also. You see, any stock car can get defected. So none of this bullshit drive road worthy cars. Tuffv8kfewkfe2kfr23k |

The main thing when you get pulled over don't arch up at the cops it sets them off and you will get done for everything the possibly can get you for! Be polite appoligise and be on with it! If you don't want to get done by them then maybe you shouldn't have the defects that your cars have! |

QUOTE(suzisport @ May 11 2008, 01:36 PM) My car is totally defectable and everytime I have been pulled up, I have never been fined they just tell me to fix it up! /slap They had the freeway blocked off for roadworks early this morning and the detour went down vulture st and onto ipswich rd. There were a few patrol cars on the side of the road and a group of 3 motorbike cops sitting at the lights checking out every car that went by. I ended up stopping at the lights and they were playing with a torch and kept shining it in my face and giggling. Apart from that childish behaviour there were no other problems though. It seemed like they were just finishing up a big defect bust or something |

QUOTE(Philthy @ May 11 2008, 10:50 AM) Then again he might fight it and get a magistrate who totally agrees with the cop and he will be left with costs. Every magistrate is different as is every cop. This is true, however I am not sure whether my friend contesting this fine and winning would set a legal precedence or not, but now that I think about it it wouldnt set a precedence that a Magistrate would be forced to follow, and as you said it would all come down to how the driver came accross in court and their traffic history would prob come into play as well |

QUOTE(Commodore_Chick @ May 10 2008, 04:10 PM) I think its funny that you point out - hardcore commodores & excel drivers with "monster tachos"..... I've seen more imports with stupid ricey crap plastered all over them including more than one stupid massive tacho on the dash.. How many commodores do you see with neons, 3" cannons and HKS/NISMO stickers plastered all over them when half the time there isn't even any of those parts in the car, they just want to have the "fast & the furious look"?.... So maybe next time you want to post up something relevant, don't bother adding a stupid remark thats going to make you look like an asshole. I have so many Commodore drivers come into my install bay and ask me to fit monster tachos on their autos. ones that have the "Milo" tin tips on them already and HSV stickers or a great big HOLDEN sticker at the top of the windscreen. Neons and LED bars i do install, hook them up to the door light trigger or tacho wire so as soon as there are revs, they turn off (cant have them on when driving then) or a door has to be open for them to be on. but to be honest, im sick of Commodore drivers wanting Tachos... THERE IS ONE ON THE DASH ALREADY. |

If the finding had been handed down from the District Court after being appealed from the Magistrate's, then it could. However it only matters if you as part of your defence knew about it and used it. I say it time and time again, it's all about the attitude. ROCK ON R~R |
