Camera shops are like car yards. I find very few camera sales people and car sales people alike who actually know anything about what they're selling.

Go check out Photocontinental, play with it there and buy from DD photographics in Newfarm, that's my advice.

Hoon, was totally thinking that but i've never been much of a japanese cartoon lover/liker/bothering-to-watch type so I left it to that.

Dragon Ball Z, I wish I could turn back time and then flush the inventors head in the toilet. Just seeing that shit on TV makes me want to go postal - Not sure why though.

Anyway, this dropped into the backyard and we only found out because the dog wouldn't shut up.

I was being dyslexic this day, i meant the 1.2
The 1.4 is still nice. but the 1.2 was just a great lens to look at!!!!!!

Yeah and worth like $2k. Not worth it unless you got nothing else left to buy/life off lowlight stuff.

Border Help

What file size should i be creating for the black border. Im guessing you just make a new background in ps then place the photo over the background? But not sure what size to make the background. Im guessing you would have done this before?

So simple yet confusing. Bloody amatuers these days ehh!

Amateurs.. you and me both pal. I don't think there is a 'right' way to do it mate, if that's how you did it & it fits well, then go for it.

To be picky and 100% correct (and off the top of my head) you could also go canvass size, increase this by 200% in height (giving 50% for top and 50% for bottom) and then just use the fill tool? I think that'd be easier for me because i like to keep things as perfect as i can (when i can be arsed). I'm sure there's an easier way if you google it or something.

I also like what you're trying with that image but i find the shadow under her nose casting the bottom right (camera right) of her face distracting. Like the rim action though, thumbs up for that shit! You could try going high too for a hair light might soften it a little for her, also shooting through the fence is a good idea too.

Yeah that shadow sucks, couldn't get rid of it tho because I was on a set of stairs and it was fences under the rail. So I had to have the umbrella up high or flash thru the fence and get the shadow everywhere.

Thanks for the cc and help on the border bud

Hoon: Teach me.

Ben: It's apart of my 'Ode To' series. What I figure is, if I'm going to really do this thing and take a photo every day I better create some themes to keep things from getting stale/stopping all together. One of which is trying to create some interesting images of things we take for granted. Bath mats for instance, they're fucking great as! Everytime I step out of the shower I'm all 'Ahhh soft mat not slippery tiles'. Kinda adding some comical value as well as keeping the creativity dribbling along.
