I remember the thing catching fire due to said dodgy wiring. Dave had a look at it only to find that all the wires where the same colour.

Fuck he was frustrated.

HAHA yeh i was there at the time actually! something to do with the flasher unit. the fact that all the wires were the same colour was ridiculous. Whoever put it together was plain lazy. The system was actually quite simple - but due to the fact that all the wires were the same colour it looked pretty intimidating.

i could understand daves fustration fully - i handballed it to him for that exact reason wink.gif

yeh lars, high quality looms ftw def worth investing in something non-molested..... electrical dramas are the biggest headfuck possible

Exatcly as BJ said, names of a business will only be shared in PM, not mentioned in the forum, due to legal reasons.

Did as required and a sarcastic message was left on my phone by the tuner, I have not identified who that tuner is nor am I going to. My post was simply to express my feelings of a bad experience. Obviously the work done at this tuners cant be all bad or it wouldn't still be operating. I just believe I could of been treated better and my business in future will be taken elsewhere, which is no great loss to the tuner. I have friends who regularly use this tuner without drama its just unfortunate that I see things differently. I could of expressed my entire feelings on this matter but choose not to.

although you didnt specifically state the workshop name, you did make it clear who was being referred to. Unfortunately Darwin is a small place and often what has been said does find its way back to the people in question..... being a small place also means that its not a good idea to burn your bridges

That bridge was never going to be crossed again anyway... I don't think I made it CLEAR who i was talking about but anyone in the know will catch on yeah, I'm not going to apologize for that, if I had been happy with what happened, I would have posted in favor of the tuner.

on another note, i went to another tuner just yesterday, but we still had some issues with my haltech install that we hope haltech can fix themselves.

but this particular tuner couldn't do enough to exhaust all options before finally giving up at the end of the day (at my request). his wife calls him a stubborn goat, as when he finds a problem or gets stuck, he keeps going until he can fix it !!

great customer service..

This seems to be the case with people who have realistic goals for their cars. The ones that dont, dont get served.
