No offence to anyone and to red krawler who has had his pride and joy vandalised and parts stolen but there must be suspicions that whoever did this was fairly well organised/professional and actually knew how to quickly remove these parts and will sell or use them very quickly to avoid being caught.

yes, it sucks big time that the cops wont do anything. No disrespect or anything, but maybe if you didn't have such a gaping big hole in the front of your bumper it might have made the intercooler a tad harder to rip off?

Stock is best.. if anything stick a thermo behind the IC tongue.gif The less you have showing off, the less people will know.

My old commodore was broken into 6 times, my mirage had the petrol siphoned out, the wheels stolen twice, the stereo ripped of etc. They even pissed in it after they smashed all the windows. I got nothing back.
However, I have been comprehensively insured since my commodore was broken into the first time. Yeah it sucks arse (and I think all sorts of violent thoughts of retribution) but on the bright side, you do get to upgrade your stuff smile.gif
I once sat on a train (from penrith to central) behind some 15 year old kids who were telling other little reprobates how to defeat the alarm and immobiliser systems in HSV's. Pretty sobering.

Funnily Enough, I have that EXACT same intercooler- its a JD STARION intercooler or a 89 Starion import Intercooler - check out the picture of mine - I dont use mine -but if ur looking for the same cooler - holler out to me.

SO if anyone offers you a JD Starion intercooler - you know this is the stolen one.

There is markings on both I can use to positively identify the suckers so I'll KNOW its mine. Then, there will be trouble.

Yeh, that cooler is a starion turbo one - but I doubt any starion turbo owners would steal one to put on there cars, nevertheless, its easy to check cos urs has black fins.

Those intercoolers should be PISS easy to spot with the wiered endtank piping - theres less than 100 of them in the WHOLE of australia, and probably less than 20 of em in Queensland.

I know I'm probably covering old ground but did you ask your neighbours and the neighbours where the car was found? that doesn't look like a five minute strip job, I'm surprised you got what you did back, normally they would have set it on fire, down on the Gold coast off Technology drive theres a dumping ground, the kids do burn outs on the road but back in the bush there are about 20 car hulks, the council get them out I think but theres always a few new ones, it's really sad seeing some peoples pride and joy a burnt out mess, but it's very sobering.

If anyone really was keen to beat up some thieves it's not hard to find them... the real question is would we really want to do it? or do we all like looking tough saying we'd kick some ass?
