QUOTE (Shuffs @ Feb 21 2014, 11:16 AM) *
When I worked for Norco,we had an electrician called Ken in our section,he was doing a new installation on the main office switchboard,(three story building).
When he went to flick the protective condom from one of the busbars, his screwdriver slipped, and caused a dead short between two phases,(the insulation on his electrical screwdriver was damaged from using it for other purposes),this in turn blew a hole in mounting plate the size of your hand, and he was showered, pointblank with molten switchboard. From that day onwards, his nickname became 'Ken tucky fried'

This has made my week.

Shuffs, the sad part today is you can't have those sort of names in a workplace. I worked in many sections where the nicknames were gold, just last week ran into a bloke I worked with 25 years ago and going through the names, I remembered the nicknames first, very Australian I think.
The other day dealing with some Americans having issues with some bloke not completing action points, he kept saying, "ok we are looking into it", a few days later I just said "did mirrors, get that system sorted?", they were like "who?", I said, "Mirrors xxxxxx, he's always looking into it", they lost their shit laughing.
