Soarer Button - Japanes button on near the cassette play

my mate has a soarer with the standard soarer stereo inside. there is a button with japanes character near the cassette player and we have no idea wat it does.

there is another jap. button on the gearbox. but we know wat that one does.

does anyone out there know what this button does?

all i know is that the jap button near the gearbox is for shifting the gear stick when the engine is turned off... its auto right?

yer its auto. i no wat that red jap button on the gearbox is.. just dont know the stereo button

Hahaha any good Toyota spare parts should have them on the shelf and in english (american) so you could just have a look, pretend you were interested then put it back when ya find out. smile.gif

Perhaps its the hazard lights?? Aren't they normally situated near the stereo head deck component?

heres the best pic my shitty camera would take of it.. i never knew what it did when i had the standard cd player in mine either.. prolly somethin that only works in japan i figured? cant be that important anywayz.. can someone who can read jap read that? bit blurry
