I bought it for 1000bux as it is there kermit green, with a blown 22R engine and built it from ground up. The only people i paid to do work on it was to have the exhaust built and have it sprayed. I helped build the tray with the help of a mate but still did a shitload of work and did the entire conversion and rebuild with a really good mate who it was sort of a project for the both of us. Theres a lot more topics from the build process on DUT and subsided however thats gone now ![]() the entire build was done in my shed, thats what makes the minitruck scene so special customising yourself not buying bolt on parts |

Thats one thing i regret not doing a supra box as hilux gear ratios are shit, 1st is too short, but it was a good setup otherwise. I didnt want the auto, everyone does the auto. I did not want to go to this much trouble and run an auto box ![]() |

QUOTE(NISMOgemini @ Jun 15 2007, 03:58 PM) yeah auto would suck the ass. my cousin used the CRS custom sump and mounts, and the dellow(spelling) custom bellhousing to mate up to the hilux 5 speed. then custom extrators and 3" exhaust. the comercial 5 speed makes it a task to get traction to the ground ![]() yeah it definitely is interesting trying to get traction. I made the engine mounts myself but i see now that bullet are selling pre-fabbed ones which would have been easier. les from fat pipes made custom extractors and its got dual 2.5" mandrel bent piping with 3" 1/4 dumps at the back. It has a really nice note and ive heard a few but still am most pleased with mine. |

QUOTE(booflux @ Jun 15 2007, 04:04 PM) What did your custom headers cost. I would like a set for mine. They arent cheap mate, but dramatically increase hp and better fuel economy and the rest. $1200 they are worth however I got my whole exhaust done from les for $1800 so not too bad. the stock headers are shit.... if you ring les from fat pipes on 3285 7417 tell him brenton put u onto him with the purple lexus v8 lux and he will look after you. His shop is over the nrthside at kallangur, he does excellent work and was the manager of noyzworkz before it got shut down you can see them in a couple of photos above, he did a very tidy job |

The runner has standard restrictive headers into a dual 3" with twin cats into a single 3" with single muffler. |

nope dont do it I had a full 2.5" system prior to ugrading it to the 3". It used to crack and pop and also had more of a drone than the curent one. The drone probably had more to do with the muffler. But the 3" gave an increase in power and responsiveness that was lacking with the 2.5". |

Thats what i had and it sounded UNBELIEVABLE, wish I had a vid to post but sounded deeper than all of these the dual 2.5" system of mine was all mandrel bent and the power increase was phenominal, its also been dyno proven on soarers etc to give better stats than any single system QUOTE(V8-720DATO @ Jun 21 2007, 08:09 PM) hey lexus v8 lux where did ya put ya fuel filler, did it have to be relocated through the floor of the tray. thanks heres a pic u can see where the fuel filler is relocated just in front of the guard, i just bought a nice chrome lockable cap from super cheap |

QUOTE(NISMOgemini @ Jun 22 2007, 03:03 PM) was that with new cats (normal or hiflow?)? or the stock ones? the system I had was custom headers, dual 2.5" mandrel bent and I had hollow cats simply because i couldnt afford the $500 more at the time for high flows hahaha ring les from fatpipes, tell him Brenton with the lexus V8 hilux put u onto him, he will do u a good deal. Mine was $1800 all up, so ull be looking around 2300 with two high flows. he told me honestly that hollowed cats will do the job. couldnt have asked for a better note mate, havent heard a 1uz which sounds as nice to be honest with u |
